Default Quick question on 1D and students

1D had 4 students (ex-Dali Imperial Bodyguards) with different martial art skills. In addition to YYZ, did 1D teach them their other martial art skills (meaning that they obtained all their martial art skills from 1D), or was his teaching limited to YYZ only (meaning that they obtained their other martial art skills not from 1D)?

It is likely that their other skills are from their forefathers e.g. the DGSD guards.

I don't think that the four DGSD gurads were the forefathers of Yi Deng's deciples were they?

They probably were, seeing as how they had the same surnames (i.e. Chu, etc.) and the same civilian occupations (i.e. scholar, farmer, woodcutter, fisherman).

All the more sad that by HSDS, the Chu and Wu families (Scholar and woodcutter, I think) turned evil and tried to trick Zhang Wuji into disclosing Xie Xun's location.

Only the scholars shared the same surname. In DGSD, there was no guard surnamed Wu. The names of the other two disciples of Yideng are unknown.
