sufan, the reason why ohhj "sucked" was becuase of the minor characters with their boring plots. It was a rather "low-budget" production if u'd wanna put it at that. BUT this is by far the only AV modern series u'd be able to see (so far i hope at least lol). it sucked badly, but it was also GREAT because the storyline between AV was really good. and of course, THEY were good togethr on screen, so all the more amusign to watch! (so if ur an AV fan or at lesat fodn of them, then this is a must watch).

foreva (i'm sorry, did we ever refer to u by ur real name before? i can't seem to rmmeber lol. or has it always been 'foevea'? ) that comic strip scene was when vicki climbed into alec's room at night to tend his wound, and then he pulled ehr aside and showed her his comic-story, and as he "told" her about the story of the herioc couple, we see that AV acted the scene out-- rmember, it was that black-n-white scene, AV got married- then became super heros to fight the evil lady. ehhe rmemebr?

Hi Sufan, he does look very young... the turning point seems to be Aegean Sea where he appears in suits and a totally different hairstyle from the spikes and bald head. In modern dramas, that is... ancient dramas don't really count. He was certainly very skinny in HZGG... and even more so in the second instalment. Filming in Mainland must have been really tough on all of them!

Haha, Hien...VERY convincing indeed (I am saying this WITHOUT sarcastic overtones!) I cannot imagine you debating with an AR fan... it'd be hilarious though, all hard feelings aside. It's not a shame, really, watching OHHJ on a "part-time" basis... you see, it's like going back and discovering new things to keep "AV" going, if you get my drift. It's like watching them falling in love... and discovering he has SUCH an ANNOYING fiance, the poor darling has a very annoying one in Aegean Sea as well. Haha!

I didn't think they was a very nice wedding dress though... the best wedding would've have to been Yong Qi's and Xiao Yan Zi's... a major classic!

I don't really want Alec to act in TVB series though. They are usually rather badly produced nowadays. The china productions are much better. I haven't even watch any tvb shows, that weren't shown on tv that is, since 2000.

The wallpaper is so nice! Why is the size so different from the wallpaper sizes though.. make it bigger.

Some TVB movies are good--some are bad--I do agree that the storylines have not been as good the past few years--

HSDS is such a great example..did you gals see it, I know it's not with Vicky, but I have to admit that he was so good in that movie..even in the unromantic scenes--like when he saw his godfather again on snake island---he acted that scene so perfectly that you even felt the joy for seeing his godfather--he didn't over act or over cried, it was just perfect.

he had some really cute scenese with alysiaa--sorry it wasn't with Vicky, but you couldn't doubt his acting skills.

and i was re-wathcing hzgg, they had so much great scense together--even when they were arguing--like the part of the ax and even the part they went out of orchid and ran out of money--it was so funny, and the part he held her hand and said "i swear upon my life and my dead mom's like...just never leave me again''--that was so cute

boy..wouldn't you gals want a guy like WAG-----who's there for you all the time, protecting you, aching when yo uget hurt, and even forging XYZ's ignorance (like throwing persimmons at him)--

Hehehe Indeed!!!! I sooooo agree!! HSDS was FANTASTIC!!!! Alec did such a wonderful job!!! when he cried, it made u want to cry with him without him overreacting like some actors... it was surely touching! I loved HSDS... hehe Alec n Alyssa sure were adorable together!!!

I was watching rewatching HZGG a while back too.. hehe and yeaaa.. what kind of girl wouldnt die for a guy like WAG.. hes just too perfect to be true... hes sooo caring and manly (in control with bad situations) but also can be such a kid (loving and foolish) at the same time... so loving, forgiving, caring, and everthing that a perfect guy can be... *sigh*

As for the Yang story, are you talking about Yang Warriors? coz if u are.. sorry to disappoint you, but it is a sad ending story...

I remember in the movie:
A monk told the dad--that of the seven kids, one will die, it turned out that of the seven kids, only one survived--yeah i remember it was an extremely sad sad movie--oh boy...i can't bear ot watch then...boo hoo..

you guys have to tell me wha tthe ending is before i watch---i don't ihave CTV in USA to watch so i'll haveto borrow the tape once it's out--but if its going to be sooo saaadd, i don't know if i can handle--especially if our poor Alec is one of them that is to die in the movie or if the love of his life dies in the movie...boohoo.

I don't live in Taiwan or China either. So I don't get the channels. I live in Sydney, but I'll be graduating in December so I'll be going back to Singapore. Maybe they will show it, but I'll definitely buy the vcds there. But of course, that will have to wait until I get my ROTK extended platinum edition , which I have to save my pennies for.

I think this story is somewhat like Yang Jia Jiang... ofcorz with changes (coz Alec decided not to play the 6th bro but the 4th bro, so they changed the script to make the 4th bro main character)... but either way, i think its a very sad sad ending coz everyone dies I wanna watch it sooo bad.. but dun know if i'll have the heart to... *sniff*

Foreva... I guess it's like re-opening an old story book I've read time and time again... you relish those moments and they become very special! The storyline isn't that great to the extent that I'd have to watch episode after episode without stopping... they're very lucky they've got Alec and Vicki to keep it going.

After going on a K-drama wave... and coming back to TVB, I've started enjoying them again. I don't know, maybe unlike you guys, I'm very easily pleased! (Talking about TVB... War and Beauty is terrific!)

Chrissy! That is SO cute! Love that Xiao Peng trying to act tough look... haha! Fools no one, really. I must say, he is at his best in Aegean Sea... in that, he really looks tough.

Oh, and I've mentioned before that I thought Alec was pretty fluent in Cantonese (well, heaps better than me!) but when he gets all excited, he gets confused and mixes both Mandarin and Cantonese! It happens to the best of us though... you know that word in Chinese but you desperately need the translation in English but simply just can't remember what that word was!

I haven't seen HSDS before! Gosh... the one I really want to watch, other than Yang Warriors is Pan Ai Jing Qi though. After watching Wang Yan in Qing He Jue Lian, it'd be nice to see her again! And of course, dearest Alec!

Neato! I, on the other hand, am planning on going into journalism...which is sometimes lumped into communications at some colleges. I think being a speech therapist is interesting. It's not something I would have a passion for, but it's definitely intriguing.

Actually, a Taiwanese speaking Cantonese is very much like a Cantonese speaking Mandarin. The regional accents kind of cancel out each other. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but it's something I've observed in my years of listening to Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese people speaking Mandarin.

Haha, i now what you guys mean about talkig in different languages. I speak Viet-lish haha, it's when you're speaking viet and you can't find the right words in so you say it in English. So, you're speaking Vietnamese and English at the same time. Thus, the term Viet-lish. I guess for Alec, it should be Cantodarin or Mandarnese. Hee hee.
