luvalecsu_4evea: i don't think they said his shortness had anything to do with his acting and his singing. i just see that those who say he was short was just pointing out the fact that he's short. someone also said he can't sing and act well but they never said he couldn't sing and act well because he was short.

as for the lovers here, its so understandable that one would be angry to hear bad things about one's idol but i thought this thread was started with the question "why do you hate alec?" this should mean the alec's unlover should be able to express why they do not like him. so why are people attacking them for disliking alec su in a thread where they are suppose to express they're feelings? i am pretty sure that's why most alec haters do not what to go into this thread. cuz they would just get attack for being on topic.

anywayz, to be on topic, i don't really hate alec su but some of his roles are quite annoying. i guess that's the reason i am not madly in love with him either.

Alec's fame is = to a mountain of rocks, where singers lik Jay Chow's fame is lik a mountain of sand. When u have a big gust of wind (Major Challenge) come their way who's the one that can stand strong through many yrs? ALEC of course.

erm... ok. That is your opinion about ALec. you could spread your love from him in the other 3 threads for him.


when i say weak, i mean it doesn't seem like he can hit louder notes and has enough breath to hit some notes. Take Jackie CHeung and Alec and put them in a competition for singing, Alec can't stand a chance.

lol. this thread may be better suited for the debate forum. anywayz, i don't think that anyone have the right to say another person's reason for hating someone is no good. it's only an oppinion after all. perhaps to u, shortness is not a good reason to hate but for someone else its as good a reason as being a horrible singer or an ugly face. i personally don't hate anyone because they're short but it doesn't mean the reason won't suffice. just my oppinion though.

Haha! I find this thread and 1 of the reasons for supposedly hating him quite funny. Why are people calling him a shorty? 5'7 is not really short by Asian standards, imo. You can call it average but definitely not short. Those who call him a shorty might have been broght up in the West, judging him by Western standards but really, if 5'7 is a shorty, what is 5'5 or 5'3 then? Pygmy??

Not every guy's a towering 6-footer. I don't love him nor do I like him tremendously. He's not my idol either. I might like him a little but not much. So, I'm not defending him per se. I just find it a bit funny to hate him for being 5'7... but then again..... to each and their own...

well, not everybody's requirements of their idols has to be hot or good in acting. i do admit that there are many stars out there who are better looking and can act better. However alec's always places seriousness in his work and is quite friendly too, which are some reasons that we like him. hot stars do not mean that they have a good character and some can be stuck up n rude. i would certainly prefer a nicer character rather than hot looks.

Just my opinion, no offence. haha.

I still dont' get what his fans want from ppl who dont' like ALec. I don't like him that much because i find his acting avg, singing is not that great, and he isn't that hot. Aren;t these reasons? People have their own opnion and i don't find Alec good as Jacky Cheung, and he can't act as well as Tony Leung ( and tony is shorter than he is ) doesn't look manly like some other actors like Andy LAu and Takeshi Kaneshiro
