Wanshan's seemingly happy and blissful household consists of his wife Liu Xiumei (Jin Yinji), eldest daughter is Huang Leting (Liu Qiulian) who is married to Chen Zhongwei (Huang Shinan), second son is Huang Letian (Terence Cao), third son Huang Leguan (Rayson Tan) and his wife Bai Suxin (Pan Lingling) and lastly fifth daughter Huang Lexuan (Jacelyn Tay)

In Wanshan's hands is a landed property which he bought some 30 years ago for just $ 30, 000. And now, the property's value has ballooned to a hefty $ 5 million!

And that's where the trouble starts...

Another one of Mediacorp's family centric dramas. They seem to be producing quite a number of such dramas. But it's refreshing to see Tay Ping Hui playing the villain.

I actually don't feel that this show is the usual family-centric type of shows that Mediacorp used to churn out until recently. I think this is more of the type of show where people fight each other for money using despicable methods. It just so happened that the "victims" in this show are the members of the family, and the villian is the foster nephew who fought with the family over a piece of land.

hmm maybe. Just that when I can capture all the major characters in a family portrait, I'm inclined to consider it family centric. Just my humble opinion.

Hehe wuchang!! You seem to be watching so many Singaporean series!!! Oh, how I would loev to watch as many as you are now!! Oh, Tay Ping Hu playing a villianous role? The only villian role I've seen him would be in Unbeatables 3 and I didnt find him to be the real villian.

Can someone enlighten me on some part of the plot? I missed the major ones such as ...

1. Li Heng won the case but in the end how did Le Xuan and family won back the land?

2. the father initially wanted to divide the money but why didn't he ? what was his plans? I saw the scene where Le Ting was crying of the injustice and then I missed some and then all of them moving into one big house.

3. what is the relationship between Li Heng and the fgirl who was raped by Le Xuan's brother? Why are they staying together?

4. What year was this production?

I didn't follow this serial so the only thing I know is that this serial first aired in 2003. Maybe you can try the short episode summary over at the official site?
