I think that she looks better as she has aged. I saw some of her older series back in 1991..like in Heroes from SHaolin with Deric Wan, she definitely was not someone i would consider beautiful.

I think she caught my eyes once again in CHor Lau HEung.. looked really pretty.

I just watched Yi Tian Do Long Ji again. I think she made a good Zhao Min..but i think she was lacking something.. Kitty Lai lacked the mean/schemish look. but had charm. Gigi had the mean/schemish look but lacked charm somehow. I thought she tried to look pitiful.. she didn't quite match. I think Gigi is matches more in indepedent/mean roles

Her role in Chu Liu Xiang was blah...the whole series was butchered and so was her character, Su Rong Rong, a pity since she's one of my favourite GL characters.

I've never watched the TVB's 80s adapatation of HSDS so im not sure how Kitty Lai fared as ZM. I heard that Liza Wang's ZM in the 70s still remains one of the favourites. But i loved Gigi Lai's ZM in the 2000 version, she was lovable but intelligent and cunning, and her outfits made her a gorgeous mongolian princess to look at.

Alyssa's ZM in the 2003 was just cute and lovable, her ZM lacked the wilful charm; she just didnt look and act as crafty and sharp as Gigi, i thought Alyssa's ZM was also a little too whiny for my liking, maybe it was the dubbing or maybe because i thought that GYY's ZZR outshone her in the series

yeah, that CLX was messed up.. EVERYONE died.. not to mention Su Rong rong died a stupid way too. But i still think she was one of the ladies that stuck out.


Alyssa' ZM had charm.. but lack that ferociousness of ZM, something i found in Gigi's portrayal. I think Alyssa was just plain animated.. she was a bit too bubbly.. and i didn' t think the script made her look smart/cunning enough.

The first series that I saw her in was HSDS. Although the story was a little messed up by the directors, I loved Gigi! She portrayed Trieu Minh pretty well.
