Gigi Lai was filming for "Healing Hands III" yesterday, holding Michael Tong's hand as they walked down a Wanchai street. She laughs: "It has been many years since I held a man's hand in the street! To be able to do this so openly, I am very happy!". Although Gigi has many men in pursuit, she is still single and she says that she often meets with love cheats: "It is so difficult to find a good man, I don't know where they have all gone. I feel that many men are players , I wonder if I am just unlucky and meet the wrong people, it seems that every one has faults. There are many women being cheated every day, you have to be very careful." However, Gigi hopes that she can find a good partner: "Although I have a fear of marriage, my family do hope I can find a good boyfriend. My criteria is very simple really, as long as we get on, then that's fine."

Also starring in "Healing Hands III", Bernice Liu and Moses Chan have been in Singapore, promoting TVB video rentals, together with Claire Yiu. Despite the reports of her 'split' with rumoured boyfriend Hawick Lau and his sightings in many clubs after dark, she seems unaffected by it all as she went about promoting her series "Virtues of Harmony" and "Survivors Law". As the leading female, Bernice was very popular wherever she went and was often surrounded by groups of fans as she played games with them, singing and dancing on the stage and chatting and joking with Moses. She says: "I hear the fans calling me 'princess' and I am very excited because it proves how much they are supporting me."

Bernice was very happy with this trip, but she says it was very rushed and she did not have time to go shopping. She also praised the high security standards: "Earlier, when I did a stage performance in China, it was very chaotic, so I lost out a little." Talking of Hawick being spotted in a club, she says openly: "There is no problem with that, I am concentrating on my work now and we have always been just friends."

Hehe, I like Gigi and Michael!!! Just looking at that picture makes me think back to Riches and Stitches. Shame they couldn't be togheter in there. They look cute as a couple, hehe.

Anyways I like Gigi. My favorite serie with her would probably be Heartstrings, which is also the first serie I saw of her. She is so cute in there!!! Loved her character and she paired well with Aaron.

Other series I like her in would be HSDS00, nice job at playing Trieu Minh. Also she was good in Fate Twisters. I pitied her role yet hated her at times. Hmmmm...what other series now? Oh yeah, Riches and Stitches. She was okay in there. At times though her character annoyed me.....hehe.

I love Gigi's singing as well. Hehe, espically that duet with Aaron in Heartstrings!!!!!

Oh yeah, that reminds me of Riches and Stitches too! I loved the scene where Michael was using that flower/grass? thing to woo Gigi.

I'm not particularly impressed with her singing though. Her voice is somewhat too plain for my taste. She offers real singing in Riches and Stitches, and it does not come close to Prisilla Chan's singing (Melissa Ng was lip-synching).

Gigi is a big comeback to TVB. She started acting in the early 90s when I first saw her in Return of Wong Fei Hung with Dicky. I remember that time she was dating Frankie Lam. Kenix & her had a cat-fight over Frankie and they both don't get along.

Gigi is a very talented actress. She did a superb job in Riches and Stiches, unfortunately though she died in there. She really cute with Micheal too.

I think Gigi Lai is much prettier when her hair was still long. It made her look sophisicated. With short hair, in my opinion, Gigi looks strange and somewhat old.. It's sort of weird seeing her acting a good role because I'm so used to thinking of her as the evil girl in Fates Twister. --- =D

Also when her hair is long and black she is very pretty. She doesn't look all that pretty with brown or red hair for some reason.

ya she is good actress but I think during early 90's both Ada and her plays evils roles... and maybe that is why their popularity didn't raise as quick... but now both are big.

really? i don't remember her playing villain roles back then... i thought that was a more recent thing...
on the other hand, i was rewatching The Link and Gigi was very sweet in there... and Ada was scary (very good villain)

Opps maybe not villian role but not main role maybe.. I remember in Heartstring didn't Aaron and fannie got together and not Gigi... and in All about Tin... wasn't it Gigi the bad girl or was it Ada... so confuse

I just know that it was movies Young and Dangerous that made Gigi a household name and thought her comeback tv series was HSDS which she is the only really good thing people said about the casting of that series...

I thought Aaron ends up with Gigi instead. Gigi wasn't in All About Tin. Ada plays the good girl while Catherine plays the bad girl.

Gigi did play an evil role in The Kung Fu Cult Master.

i agree about that HSDS comment though... hmm it does seem that Gigi didn't get as many outstanding roles back then.

I don't mind Gigi with long or short hair. Think they both make her look very cute. I think with her long black hair she looks younger while with a shorter cut with highlights and all she looks more mature you know?

I think she looks very very cute with long hair in ancient series though, lol. Espically Riches and Stitches (most recent ancient Gigi serie for me) how her hair was like curly and put to one side. That was cute.

Yeah. With longer hair it makes her look pretty young while with short highlighted hair makes her look older and mature. To me I think she is the best at acting all nice and mean at the same time. Especially in HSDS she was great as Zhao Min.
