hmm.. i just finished watching the series. They have too many deaths in this movie... but the ending was ok i guess. Not the best, but good enough.

Nicholas Tse acts alright but because his role was to act as a cold person, he didnt need to show much emotion so there wasnt much. The romance he had in this movie does kill off some of the coldness and once in a while he smiles!

Dicky Cheung is funny as usual, but his funny roles are boring me in some ways so when he acts out crying scenes (which is quite alot in this series) i pay more attention.

And Fan Bing Bing is pretty, and her acting skills are good too. She first fakes a death, but in the end she really dies which is quite saddening.

I guess i really liked Yang Xue. Her evilness is so real! but when she does the evil laugh thing, i dont think it suits her. Her eyes shows hate naturally so villian roles suit her best, while if she was to be nice in a whole movie i dont think it'll show her acting talent much?

And Xiao Yu-Er and Hua Wu Que finds out they're twins near the end around the 30th episode when Yan Nam Tian and Hua Wu Que's master have fight

i only watched 2 eps of this series..i wanted to see how different it was compared to the Taiwanese version. i thought it differed so much... i liked the Taiwanese version more. Alec su's portrayal of Hua Wu Que was much more convincing. Dicky Cheung was good of course..cos he's good in such roles. but there are somethings that i dun like about the drama..i thought the effects were too fake.. and the way the ppl talked inside had too much humour elements..took away the focus of the story... anywayz..the 1st 2 eps were ok... Nic Tze was so-so.. didn't like the way he talked..but he looked cool all the same.. made up 4 his stiffness in acting..

maybe i'll watch more to see how the story develops...

I just finished first 2 episodes and it wasn't to bad, mostly humor. I think Dicky chenung character is harilious playing as xiao yu er. I don't watch Gu long, but Jing yong stories. I gave it a try after watching samples of fei dao fei jian. So far waiting and see how the story develops.

I pity Tie Xin Lan (Fan Bing Bing). Even since she get together with Hua Wu Que (Nic), her life is just filled with heartbreaks, one after another. Hua Wu Que is also pitiful. Get tortured (mind and body) by his mistress/teacher like that.

Btw, I found the scriptwriter is very careless in his writing of the part about the death of the 5 Yang 2 Yin. The scriptwriter is so focus on Little Fairy (Bai Xue) that he totally forgets about Tie Xin Lan's father. Tie Yu Yun also died on that night, but we didn't see Tie Xin Lan mentioned her father at all. No crying, no sad words. Everyone is just concern about Little Fairy. That is pretty strange for such a close father-daughter relationship.

Umm... Yang Xue is Jiang Yu Yan

out of all the female actresses i think little fairy is the cutest, but her dubbed voice [i watched a cantonese version] was not very good

alot of people says Alec su's version is way better... but didnt watch it... maybe one day i should try =] =]

what i found very disbelieving was the costumes, the girls were all wearing short skirts and boots- are they serious?! they donot have that in the oldern days.
Yes, i do agree somethings about the drama was not likable but then i guess most of the times it was funny.

and true about Tie Xin Lan, she does have heartbreak over heartbreak agian and again, though all the romance movies try to tell people that you'll sacrafice anything for love... i guess the people are trying to make us understand how much she likes him to go through all that.

yeah..u must watch Alec Su's version!!! he u will love him!! more than NIc Tse in this one. Alec Su was more natural..

i think the parts where Tie Xin Lan thought the about the guys regularly in the early eps were too rushed...in the Alec Su version, she liked Xiao Yu Er 1st...n later then it developed until she knew Wu Que liked her n then repaid his love... this version was a bit rushed on that part i think...

Wong Jing he is crazy!!! This series like around 40 episodes but it seem every thing is so rushing. And also it seem Tie XIn Lan didn't have that much scene in here. I'm very surprise the part that her father too. and not happy with ending in here either. But like the romance between Tie and Wu in here.

yeahh Alec Su is still the best in portraying HWQ but Nic Tse gave the different feeling of HWQ too
Again, u will find this series dissapointing if u expected or compared to the Alec's version n again this one is much away different!! only the background of the characters are mostly the same.

i like the romance between WQ n XL more deeper. And i always don't like most of the ending in ancient series , always being in rush!

Something to keep in mind when comparing Nic's and Alec's potrayal of HWQ. Wong Jing himself has said that he has changed the personality of HWQ a bit to make him cooler. So, Nic's HWQ is not suppose to be like Alec's HWQ or even the book HWQ.

The actor who played Yan Nan Tian looks a lot like Ekin Cheng and with his hairstyle and strong features he also looks like someone that came right out of a comic book.

    What is this actor's name?

What version are you watching.. and what part the music are you talking?? I like the music in Manderin version when Nic and Bing Bing holding hand, Ow, so lovely. I hope there is sound track for this series so that way they include all the music in there.
