Jiang Yu Yan = tries really hard to act, overacting, annoying, just die already
Bai Xue = cute, reminds me of Ruby Lin in DOMD 2000
Su Ying = grew on me, didnt have enough screen time, ending sucked when I finally liked her
Yumiko Cheng = why even be in it, guest star, nothing to remember

    Relations:
FBB & Nic : started okay then just boring at the end
Dicky & Bai Xue : sweet, best relation in entire series
Dicky & Su Ying: grew on me but ending ruined it
Dicky & FBB: funny at beginning and sweet

For some reason, I liked Wallace Huo char's in World Finest and IMO he would have replaced Nic.
Nic was awesome in the series
and he is handsome and a great actor

This series has an amazingly beautiful cast. Nic and FBB are like Asian's Barbie and Ken. Their onscreen chemistry was what kept me going since the story really dragged in the middle. Dicky is as usual being typical Dicky ~ nothing mind blowing with his performance with the exception that he puts on the best blank/emotionaless face expression during the crying scenes that I've ever seen. Come on, you're a f*cking actor ~ the most poignant part of a sad/crying scene is not the tears, dammit!

su ying recovered eventually...but experienced a sad death...the saddest part of the series imo....

I've finish this serie for a long time ago but haven't give my opnion about this serie yet so I take this opportunity to make a resume. Actually, I love this serie because it's different from the other versions especially the end. In the other version, the ending was so predictable, an happy ending. As to do a remake, it needs something new to capture peoples's attentions, so make an happy ending isn't a good idea. Change it to an sad ending made the difference. Even isn't an happy ending but I still like it! It was a perfect sad ending! It makes peolples drop tears, very touching! I haven't see the ''Legendary Siblings 2'' so I haven't made my comment based on this serie but the 2 others one (1: Tony Leung's version 2: Jimmy and Alec's version). I think that in this version, we have more fun to see those scenes where the twins are in like their first meet and when they competite to be martial art's leader, it was funny!
Summary, this serie was different from the previous one and is pretty good!

yep... nic and fbb did have really good chemistry together but too bad there were very few scenes on there romance
i especially thought the middle was really boring... especially that freakin part where dicky got poisioned by this rainbow thingy and su ying had helped to save him (watching that was like the boringest thing of my life)...
overall, i often paid more attention during the fighting scenes and fbb/nic's romantic scenes... i believe that it was the relationship between fbb and nic that got me going during the really draggy parts, cause if it werent for them, i would have stopped right there on the whole poison stuff

the ending was pretty good, glad to have another different taste in endings... it was also pretty sad, especially during that part where nic mentioned about all the loved ones that had died... i practically cried during that part
was pretty happy to have a director that experimented with a different type of ending compared to those happily ever after ones

this series was such a wong jing styled series. a lot of funny rubbish in it and a rushed ending and little substance as a whole - typical wong jing style. great if you like his work. bad if you don't.

as for me, i wouldnt prefer wong jing's style of series that much... but i dont hate it either
its just that his style often makes me cry a lot, but it does contain this unique sort of plot that differs from others making it less boring to watch
i guess its half and half

yeah wong jing usually add different elements to these series he remakes but alot of those "novel"readers hates his work because it "doesn't follow"the book.i personally watch any remake of series and like them all differently but what makes me mad is when "novel"readers gets pissed off at the director wong jing for making a different story. dont know why i actually like it when the story is changed makes the series more interesting to watch then having to rewatch the same story but with different casts. this series was good first 20 eps, but when it got series it sort of got boring but still ok to watch. bad thing was they never made dickys character siu ei any stronger or learn good powerful martial arts. and how all the powerful people lose was sort of stupid.

I don't really like this series much, I twas pretty draggy, I did enjoy the 80's version with tony Leung. I just re watching the 80's version agian and the two are very different, did anyone read the novel before? I am curious of how the characters are really supose to be? How they are supose to act and so on, I know the villian in the dicky version is a female and the tony leung one her character is actually a guy. Also about the Jimmy lin's version I thought that one was okay while i was watching it, but now I forgot how it went, were the character similar? Witch one was more close to the novel?
