-she is not divorced so she didn't remarry.
-slacking. the 2 new shows that are supposed to be film haven't started. one of them was even canceled. so wat do u think? haha (her MOST recent show is the yang warriors. did u catch that show?)
-the turbulent years was sensored. china says that the show is TOO VIOLENT and have to cut off the scenes but in the end they decided to prohibit the show to be broadcast instead. (well, it's the first time i see amy slap ppl. i quite look forward tho but....)
    Amy slapping some1? lolz..

I am convinced that she did slap/hit Vincent in The Heroine of Yang. But that's just because her character is a tough one. LOLZ!

    Thanks for answering!

LOLZ! It nice that she knows how t enjoy her life. But its sad for fans who wants to see her more, LIKE ME!

But I havent seen her latest series yet. I wonder how good it is?? She's playing an elderly lady. Its funny because this role was the role of her "grandma" in Heroine of Yang. It should be good!

amy acts as a fierce woman in the turbulent years. in the show, she owns a wine shop and she SLAPS ppl when she gets pissed. hehe.... she said it's the first show she gets to slap ppl this much when she was interviewed. hehe.....

haha... you should try her earlier show.. some was quite good, like pairing. btw, she haven't act as a grandma b4. in the young warriors, she's only the mother. in the heroine of the yangs, she's only a married woman, later on a mother. =)

Yeah, I think you got me confused. What I meant was that it is ironic that in "Heroine of Yang", Amy protrayed "Moc Que Anh (viet name), the yuong and heroic daughter-in-law to the Yang family. But in "The Yang Warriors" Amy protrayed "Sa Thai Wong" the grandmother of "Ton Bao" Moc Que Anh's husband. LOLZ! I find it ironic, but again amusing. Because when I saw the Heroine of Yang, I thought, both "Sa Thai Wong" and "Moc Que Anh" are the same type of people, Amy would do great protraying as the yuonger version of "Sa Thai Wong" before Moc Que Anh's period.

I really want to see this. Has is come out in viet dubbed yet? If so I have to get my hands on it. I want to see it so much!

Which series of Amy Chan do you recommand most? Have you seen them all before?

Here are the list of Amy Chan series that I have just bought:
    1. Dharma (1986)
    2. The Dragon Sword(1987)
    3. Silken Hands (1990)
    4. The Survivor (1991)
    5. File of Justice (1992) (ordered but hasnt come in yet)
    6. File of Justice II (1993) (ordered but hasnt come in yet)
    7. Folk Sergeant (1993) (ordered but hasnt come in yet)
    8. For Home Sake (1993) (ordered but hasnt come in yet)
    9. Racing Peak (1993)
    10. The Partner (1993)
    11. File of Justice III (1994) (ordered but hasnt come in yet)
    12. File of Justice IV (1995) (ordered but hasnt come in yet)
    13. Hand of Hope (1995)
    14. The Good Old Days (1996)
    15. Fated Love (1997)
    16. The Heroine of The Yangs (1998)
    17. Anywhere But Here (2000) (ordered but hasnt come in yet)
    18. A Chinese Ghost Story (2003) (ordered but hasn't come in yet)
    19. Love In A Miracle (2004)

Since I've just bought those series a week ago, I've only finished rewatching "Fated Love" (today, which was great) and half way done with "The Good Old Days" (which still brings me to tears).

Which should you recommand I watch first?

I recommend The Heroine of the Yang, just because I love gilbert so much in good old days, I love the part where he chases her around to marry her. aww. Hope they end up in GOD, hate ho sang (ma jing tao).
then I like Love in a miracle, man, love Juang Ning (chan chinpang) he so hot. he loves her she doesn't. sad.
Then Hand of HOpe with Gallen Lo, they are cute. cute couple, aww.
Silken hands is cool too, kinda lame, except for the parts with amy and gallen.
I have all of the series you mentioned and more. wanna discuss when done, come to this forum. I'll be waiting. and let me know which series or parts you like.

yea...She Saihua was the only one who believed Kwai Ying in the first place....and she never doubted whatever Kwai Ying did, to the very end she's got great insticnt of reading people.....the exact reason why this character received my respect so much, whether in The Great General or in Heroine of The Yangs....it's really great now that Amy get to play this character too

It is funny, because I've seen basically all the series before, but I've watched it when I was like 6 years old or something like that. So I don't remember too much. LOLZ! But I just recently bought them because I really missed her and need to rewatch before series, since series today are so lame and boring, I've missed those series where everything was relayed on but true acting talents, NOT JUST LOOKS.

Yeah, I've watched "The Heroines of Yang" a few times. Fated Love I've just finished (it was pretty good, but Carrie really urges me, I wanted to slap her...). I am still currently watching The Good Old Days (at night) and Love in a Miracle (during the day). Lolz, both are great. Benny Chan's flirty behaviors towards Amy is to die for. He is so loyal and charming! And I cried all night last night watching the scene of Amy's miscarriage in The Good Old Days. But I am starting to enjoy watching Gilbert's presence in The Good Old Days (very bittersweet).

Right now, I'll prob say Hand of Hope and Silken Hands would be my next set.

Thanks! And surely ill definitely comment more on the series after I finish watching them.

LOLZ! I see the same thing as you. I respect Saihua ALOT! Thats the reason I love the Yang's story so much. Every version I see with stories relating the Yang, I become very critical on the actress protraying the role of Saihua. She's such a strong and bright character. You have to have a strong will and much needed charisma and loads of talents to deliver a "two thumbs up" portraying Saihau.

Now I just cannot wait until the series "Yang Warriors" come out. So excited. And I've heard that Amy does extremely well in this one, not that I would doubt her proformance. NEVER WILL!

    lolz.. a little over 300, almost 400.

But some of them I already have.

When I like a series, I buy it. What's the point of making money if you dont want to use it? I dont like to go partying or shopping, I rather spend my time in the house, that is when I dont work or go to school.

Trust me, if i can find the other series of Amy I'll buy it immediately.

lolz.. You are right, Amy does protray these characters extremely well. I mean, she has a very tough characteristic features, yet, very caring and tender. Very much motherly-love can be seen through her. She has this "tough-love" ordeal going on in every series. A thought did come upon me,id you realize that in most of her series she's a mother/could've been a mother?

By and by, she's great at what she does.

lolz.. I am trying to get as much of Amy's series as I can. I like to collect my favorite actresses' series. Like Maggie Cheung Ho Yee, I have all but 2 of her series, and those are the earlier ones that I COULD NOT find.

I only bought 5 cds from yesasia.com Those are the only ones I could find. I really wanted the one of her in concert (2004 I think). But they ran out of stock in yesasia.com though they have it at sensasia.com I don't like how it is processed, its speed, and just every other thing a trustworthy site needs. I get really frustrated when I order stuff from sensasia.com

Hahahaha, you are a great supporting fan, jparadize. How old are you, if you dont mind me asking.

I figured that. Since The Yang Warriors is the yuonger version of Saihau, not the older one. And Moc Que Anh's character doesnt appear until Saihau is much OLDER! Plus with Moc Que Anh's appearence, it'll take away from Saihau's importance. So they better not do that.

Yeah, I am viet. That's why I have such a hard time finding info on Amy. LD

I am actually beginning to watch The Young Warriors of the Yang Clan online. The dubbing is in viet. But the dubbing is very funni. Its those type with only one female voice, pretending to b all the characters. LOLZ! Its ripped from Viet Nam, not from the US. So yeah, it stinks. But I am watching it for my understanding and leasure. I'll watch the US version when it releases, which would probably take another year.

But so far, I am on episode 2, I already fell for She Sai Hau's modest and humble character. Its no wonder she lived so long. LOLZ! She Sai Hau is AMAZING, and Amy looks perfect and fits perfectly for this role.

BTW, don't you think Amy looks way too young to be the mother of all them kids? HAHA.. I know she's in the mid-40s but she still doesnt look convincing as a mother of those BIG BIG BIG BIG kids. LOLZ! That's the only unconvincing part of her performance.
