HAHA, if I am correct they've finished filming the series. HEHE, so maybe some insider has a copy of the series and released it to the public, illegally! HAHA, I wouldnt mind having that copy ^_^

HAHA, make sure that when you go buy The Good Old Days, try to snatch the other series I recommended too, I'll grantee that its worth every penny you spend. Plus, even if you don't find yourself as interested in those series as I was, just look at it as a gamble. Even if you lose, your money is being invested into supporting Amy - NOT A BAD INVESTMENT, eh?

Again, there is no need to thanks me, I do it just for fun. HAHA, not like I am wasting time, anything I do relating to either Amy Chan or Maggie Cheung is completely worthy of my time and efforts.

Don't say that you're not a better fan than me. HAHA, just because I've seen and own most of her series, CDs, karaoke, etc. that doesn't mean I am a better fan. To me it just means I know how to appreciate a good serial production, nothing more! I do and watch all these for my own personal enjoyment and leisure. You're too kind!
After reading ur post yesterday, i went to yesasia to check out how much The Good Old Days will cost me (u tempted me ). I actually found four volumes of The Good Old Days in dvd & they don't cost dat cheap. U know after da conversion & all. My question is dat is dis series dat long??? I mean if i'm not mistaken each volume has more than 5 dvds so technically speaking it will be 30 episode & more. I can't remember whether it was dat long, our local tv showed it many years ago but i did not watch it.

SO when i get The Good Old Days, i cannot get any of da other series u recommended coz it'll cost me a lotttt!!!! Hav to save some more now but i think u r right, it'll be worth investing in amy's series.

So u r also a fan of maggie cheung to huh? So it is not dat hard to find another person dat likes da same actress right????

If I am correct tudou.com has the series, but thats just me thinking again! HAHA, I wouldve try to upload it for you, but my version is in Vietnamese, soooooooooo that leaves me only to say "GOOD LUCK!" ^_^

Amy is very pitiful in this series, from the beginning to the end. The only truly happy part you see her in is the 10-11 episode where she and John was kicked into the "Deep Sinner's Island" - this is where Amy was able to let go of all her traggic life story and start anew with her new hubby But that didnt last too long! But those episodes of her and John enjoying themselves in the small island was really the best! I was so touched! Sadly John cannot let go of his revenge and has to go back to BeiJing and justify Savio's actions! SO SAD! This was what caused Amy's death. He could've just live a peaceful life, but no.

HAHA, The Good Old Days is about 100 episodes long. VERY VERY VERY VERY LONG! The series is splited into part 1 and 2. I wouldnt blame them, the series is so well recieved, that's actually smart for them to elongate the series. HAHA, better for us fans at least, since Amy has about 70% screen-time. HAHA, not a bad percentage! I love the series so much. HAHA, it'll keep you busy for a long while. I generally finish watching a 24 episode series within 2 days (with 2-3 hours sleep) either that or 4 days (with 6 hours of sleep). Unlike me you probably wouldnt go crazy ans sit for 6 straight hours watching a series, hahaha, that's me being me again.

I hope you do reach a point where you can buy the series, hehe, I believe the totaly from yesasia.com for The Good Old Days is only about 150 USD - I think if you go to SensAsian.com it'll probably be cheaper. If not try MalMusic.com, they'll most definitely have the series at a cheaper price!

Yes, I am a huge Maggie Cheung fan too. Amy Chan and Maggie Cheung are the only 2 actresses I soully admire both in talents and in looks. None others are worth my time, money, and down pouring interests. I give little to no care about the other newbies and the most disappointing thing is, some of the older more veteran actresses that I had once liked are degrading themselves, acting in pathetic series - plus they tend to be worst and worst, nothing special anymore! TV series now-a-days arent as good as they used to be Its a shame WE need Maggie and Amy to act more, hahaha, populate the screen with better quality series and most definitely teach those younglings what real acting mean!

Haha, finding someone who likes the same actresses isnt hard, but definitely cherishable.

Amy does have a noticable accent as she speaks English, but I wouldnt blame her, she isnt an English woman! Its rare enough that she can sing english songs so beautifully. I do find it hard to hear actresses sing in English.

In the her 2002 Concert Amy did sing an English song "Those Were the Days" - I have been a fan of that song since I was very young, it has such a beautiful story about 2 friends losing each other because of the time changes, but reuniting together after years of seperating to find each other in the little tavern they used to play in. Its a beautiful song, and Amy was so enthusiastic performing it in the concert. SO CUTE!

The ancient series that she was definitely most gorgeous in was A Chinese Ghost Story: Eternity - Her Blue Demon custome was gorgeous and so fairy-like, and her makeup and facial jewels were mesmerizing!

    Closer Look at her Makeup!

    Closer Look at her Custume!

I must admit Sheren is also gorgeous in here!

She looks so innocent in this screencap!

    She portrayed Lamno flawlessly!

BTW, did you realize that Amy looks amazing in BLUE? HAHAHA, even with the blue contacts one, she looks amazing, since most asains look so weird with blue contacts. HAHA, she looks so pretty!

HAHA, I AM SURE YOU WOULD'VE!

But who knows, I hope they would change their mind about broadcasting the series, that'll make my life a lot better. HAHA

Since they were unable to broadcast the series, I bet they've lost alot of money on the series' filming! How did Amy feel about that?

Amy also looked great in young Warriors!

Amy and Weng Jia Ming has great chemistry!

Amy actually looks great in red as well, I mean, the entire Young Warriors set is literally RED! HAHA, I've never seen so much red used in a series before! I mean even the soldier's armor was red, therefore in battle, you cannot tell where the blood is, ahahahah!

I have more pictures of Amy's custumes on my laptop but I dont have it with me now, I'll post Amy in her different custumes later! She looked great!

haha then i guess u have to write a petition to the china govt cos they are the ones who prohibit the broadcast.

amy sang the theme song during her concert and said "this song is unfamiliar to all of u. hope that u will enjoy the song and the show when it is broadcast."

as usual... it's officially revealed in amy's concert when the crew went on stage and had a chat up there. they say if it wasn't for the producer, it would have been LONGER. haha

100 episodes long No wonder they had four volumes for it. I guess it would be worth every penny i spent on dis series but i've gotta wait a while longer I did one time watched I can't remember how many episodes for two days from 7 in the morning to like 1 - 2 the next morning. Dat was like intensive watching. It was really crazy coz i had to return da vcds on monday so i had to cramp half of da series in two days. I'm not doing dat anymore.

Yeah, i think sensasian is slightly cheaper but i think da courier fr yesasia is much better. I don't think i can take da chance with sensasian. I've to compare again between da two.

I guess veteran actresses r not given much opportunities dis day. As u mentioned da newbies r given all da opportunities to bring them up & thus da veterans suffer. Sad huh? I agree dat a lot of da newbies cannot be compared with da veterans but they themselves hav their style of acting & standard. So we hav to compare da newbies with da newbies & da veterans with da veterans Coz if we compare da newbies with da veterans there is no comparison. Though we can wait for da newbies to be veterans then maybe we can compare

It's good idea to hav da veterans to teach da newbies some tricks. I think da newbies crying is really bad, so artificial. But how many series hav u seen dat has good veterans in it with newbies??? There are only a handful. Most of veterans nowadays in new series r not dat good. We want da really good veterans like amy & maggie.

U r right, Linh-e-Pooh, amy does look really good in blue & red. I really like da pictures of her in a chinese ghost story. She looks so pretty huh?? Of course i luv everything she wore in da young warriors. If u had not mentioned it did not strike me dat most of da costumes in the young warriors was red

So da blue costume is young version of her & da red costume is da mature version of amy. Perfect
