How far would Wong Yerk See's students have gotten?

How far would the martial arts of East Heretic Wong Yerk See's original students (Chan Yeun Fung, Mui Chiu Fung, Luk Sing Fung, Kuk Ling Fung, Mo Min Fung, Fung Mak Fung) have gotten if Chan and Mui had not stolen the 9 Yum Jen Ging and fled Peach Blossom Island, and the others were not consequently crippled and expelled from the island? Did any of them have it in them to eventually become Greats themselves after Wong Yerk See completed their training?

Furthermore, how much of his martial arts did Wong Yerk See teach to his son-in-law, Gwok Jing? In ROCH, Gwok Jing exhibited the Mighty Finger Snap, but never displayed any other Peach Blossom Island martial arts skill (such as Lok Ying Sword Technique and Lok Ying Palms Technique).

Chances are they could be better than WCY's students, since they could get more teacher attention and instruction from HYS had the incident not happened, but to become Greats themselves may not be so easy.

As for GJ, JY never wrote that much about his ability by the end of ROCH, it's a possibility that he could inherit a few or some of HYS's skills, but his signature skill would still be the Dragon Subduing Palms, I guess. There are other skills he could have mastered from 9 Yin Manual as well, but we didn't see him use them either.

but in learning his techniques, i think no one can fully master it. HE even told his last student that not even a smart person like HR can undertstand some of his techinues..
