Was this duel of SOD 1996 accurate to the novel?

Long time ago I queried what took place during the duel with LHC and Yue Bu Qin.I found out that YBQ had repeated the same moves from Pik che kim fat which enabled LHC to attack before hand.

But what about the 96 version?Did they follow the novel in that part?All I saw was LHC thinking in his mind "Don't tell me that this sword move against me has no weaknesses" and YBQ fell into the trap before getting defeated.So that means that in the 96 version,Pik che sword style was unbeatable if not for the trap?I don't remember this scene properly.

LHC would have beaten YBQ. Pi Xie Jian Fa do contain weaknesses, albeit like KFBB it is perfomed very fast that few people can take advantage of those weaknesses.
