LBB: I thought the great Ping Chang only cooks to entertain himself and not for others? (cute look!)
LY: Yes, but you are different, you're my wife!

(It went something like that, I've watched it earlier this year so I cant remember the lines exactly, but the way they looked at each other. OMG, I couldnt stop but praise their chemistry!)

And OMG, the entire incident with the TWIN, Jesus Christ, I just love their story!

Some of my favorite scenes were:

    - In the near beginning, when Edison tried to sink the boat and LY flew LBB over tot he bridge to safty (they seemed to be the only persons on screen... LITERALLY!)
    - When LBB was temporarily blind and LY was hurt, they fought in the dry wooded area, she was the ears and he was the eyes, HOLY, they were so in synced. SOOOOOOOOO WELL DONE. And then when they finished fighting:
LBB: Well, I guess you'll have to be my eyes from now on!
    LY: (smiles) Sure!
(That was just a beautiful scene!)
    - Every time they performed the couples martial arts that belonged to Anthony and his nun sister. They move so well together, especially when they were blindfolded.
    - The entire incident with the 4 wealthiest ppl on the land. When LBB was jealous and the entire thing with the evil lady. The best part was when the rest of the gang pretended to be killed off to make them profess their love towards each other. OMG, I love love love that scene in the cabin, where he rested his head onto her lap!

AHAHA, lets say I love all their scenes together! Oh, and not to forget, before they went on the suicide mission. When LY and LBB had to pick the bun to see who gets to stay and escort the evil guy off. They told each other that even if they got the bun with the jade, they wouldnt escort the evil guy, because if the other one has to go on the suicide mission, he/she would go right along with the other and wouldnt stay back. And when they broke the bun and didnt see the jade, they truned t each other and smile. THAT WAS SO SWEET!
hahah, you're not kidding when you say you only watched their scenes numerous times.... but no kidding, those memorable scenes will stand out even if you see it only one time.

I love all the scenes you mentioned...

    1) At the first meeting, when he rescued her from the boat wreck, the instaneous attraction the two felt for each other was evident in the way they stared at each other, and if you watch closely, the scene where the sun was setting, showing the two couples standing there and watching the boat sink, you can still see LY having his arms around LBB waist!

    2) When LBB said he'll have to be by her side from now on if she doesn't regain her eyesight, he had this huge smile on his face when she said that- Yes, the dude has already fallen in luvvv!

    3) At the nun's place, when LY was drinking alone, and LBB came up and said that with wine and a friend, sorrows can be dissipated, the way that they look at each other at this scene....

    4) When they were crossing that bridge during the 4 wealthiest people case, you can tell that they have soooo much to say to each other, but each didn't know how to say it, because there was so many misunderstandings between them..you can totally sense the longing between them....with each one turning around and looking at the other walking away.

    5) In the kitchen, when LBB caught the pan on fire when she tried to cook, and LY came running in really fast when he heard her yelling.... and when LBB said "I'm sorry, there won't be any dinner for you tonight" and he said "It's okay, it's the thought that counts".... the look they give each other afterward And it was quite funny how LY kinda took over the task of cooking!

I think what was so attractive about their relationship was how LY's character was so cold, and yet after meeting LBB's character, he had such tenderness and caring for her, that his personality completely changed. It was unconditional love, full of sacrafices for each other.

Seriously tho, if not for the chemistry between them two, this series wouldn't appeal to me so much.

This may be really wierd, but it was in this series that I noticed how LBB got such pretty, perfect teeth! I think it was at the scene where LY's master dropped his teacup, and LBB kneeled down to catch it and smiled up at him.
And needless to say, her eyes are always so pretty...especially when have her whole face covered up, you can tell how pretty her eyes are.
I love the purple and orange-looking outfits at the end...they're so playful!

Talking There is something about LBB...

There is something about LBB that you have to like. Maybe because she gives off such a calm, and humble aura yet still maintains such elegance and grace. At times when I look at her, I could sense some sadness in her face, yet when she laughs she gives you such lively emotions.

Unlike her fellow actress FBB, there's something real and humble about LBB which makes her more respectable, loving and charming. LBB's rise to fame has been tough but a much more honest journey to stardom, yet FBB's road to fame remains controversal, some even shameful.

In terms of look, I prefer LBB over ZZY and also FBB. ZZY is indeed beautiful, but there's nothing unique about her look. FBB of course is nothing but plastics, and if not she's all about the thick makeup, fake eyelashes, fake wigs, spandex, and digitally fixing her pictures to look thinner.

I wish her more success and luck in 2008, and I hope to see more of her on the big screen.

Strangely,, I find her character to be scary, yet very vunerable at the same time. The eyes contain a sense of vulnerbility that is tied to the character of the White Hair Maiden (full of hate, yet vulnerable because of love). Just looking at these pictures, I find that LBB may parhaps portrayed the character quite well.
I can't wait to catch her porformance on the big screen come April!

Not sure if these are recent ones or not, but its "The Knot" related:

You spoke my mind. LBB's eyes really gives an aura of vulnerablity! So correct!

HAHA, you are correct! Those scenes I've mentioned and a whole lot more, even if seen only once, would stricken the viewers and appeal to their hearts and soul!

And again, you are right about how the relationship bw LBB and LY becomes so appealing is because at first LY was cold hearted and seen as a ruthess heatless assassin, but after meeting LBB, his shattered heart began to piece itself together like a puzzle. I love the devotion they had towards each other. The yearning and longing they felt when they arent together. The willingness for each to sacrafice his or herself for the othe, unconditionally. What more can you ask for?

Do you remember the scene where LY was gaurding the room of the couple who created the FLYING BOMBS? The scene where LY was sitting in the balcony drinking wine and LBB came over and was like "Arent you bored alone?" then they had this whole conversation about friendship and how Anthony and LY, though only knew each other for a short time, could relate to each other as if they've known each other forever. LY's reason being "We are men, we can relate to each other easier!" Then LY said, Anthony is one friend he can TRULY entrust his life on, who would never detray him. Then LBB was like "And me?" LY: "SMILES... You I'm not sure of, but definitely half!" then LBB was like, "OK, let's toast to my being your friend, and I hope I'll gain the other half of your trust someday!" - that was a great scene too!

You are correct. LBB has a degree about her humility and sophistications that is hard to match! Her eyes are so vibrant, yet mellow when seen at face value, but the melancholy aura could be so easily erased once her beautiful smile begins to enchant your brain. She's so exotic and wonderfully created that it is impossible not to love!

Not sure if this is an MV or something else, but the scenary is so breathtaking, along with the music! LBB sported that 'bowl' haircut...I find it very cute on her.

Yes, I love her face when she laughs, it is very genuine.
What was so controversal/shameful about FBB's rise to fame? I have to admit that her acting never appealed to me that much, as I find her not to be so versatile, and her emotions are so limited....however, I never knew that her rise to fame was scandalous.
I don't like how FBB looks in professional pictures either...you can barely tell that it's her b/c it's so "done." I actually like how she looks in normal life better than in those digitally enhanced pictures.

More like the chemistry was amazing! It's hard to find series with such chemistry between the leads nowadays.
But I was a little confused about their relationship..so between the "Prince" case, and Dong Xuan's father case, LY and LBB's characters were living together?
It was very abrupt..one minute I'm seeing them still flirting, and the next, they're cooking for each other.

Btw, I'm Vietnamese....it looks like we have the same tastes when it comes to movies and actresses...I'm a big fan of Amy Chan too!

Haha, we're having a whole conversation through LBB's thread.
    So far, I've seen:
-Smart Kid (although, it's been awhile, I'm planning on rewatching it)
-Maiden WX (Viet title: Huy Nuong Uyen Tam, something like that)
    -Sword of Outlaw
    -Eight Heroes

I have yet to see any of her movies, cuz you know how rare it is to find it dubbed in Viet...and I haven't seen City of Sky (is that even dubbed yet?)

I think I became a big fan of hers after "Maiden," although I hate the ending.

My family categorized my fan-ship into a new level, is there anything between obsession and admirations? LOLZ! Amy Chan is a phenominal woman all-in-all. I've seen all 29 of her series (the ones I've own) within the 3 months of summer. HAHAHA, let's say, I had many restless nights! ^_^

And I dont think you've missed anything, but when I watched 8 Heroes the first time, I was confused too. But LY and LBB got together, not abruptly at all. There was a small detail that the other gang had mentioned that told us they were living together and married. I cant tell you exactly when, sicne the last time I've watched it was like 8 months or more ago. I'll note it to you when I rewatch it. HAHA, but I've let my friend borrow my copy already. ^_^ I can watch it online. NO PROBLEM!

And yes, we do seem to have the same taste in series and movies, and actresses too. LOLZ!

    So you have seen:
    - Tieu Tu Linh Tinh (Smart Kid)
    - Huy Nuong Uyen Tam (Maiden Wan Xia)
    - Truong Kiem Tuong Thu (Sword of Outlaw)
    - Bac Dai Hao Hiep (Eight Heroes)

Hmmmm, let me see... You should watch the other series LBB stars with Dicky Cheung, Ruby Lin, and Alec Su (Ky Tai Trong Tam Phong - Taiji Prodigy). It was hilarious, but you'd hate the end. I KNOW IT!

She also has a series with Aaron Kwok (Romancing Hong Kong). She was super gorgeous in here, but the series is rather boring.

I do own City of Sky and Another Lifetime of Fate (Duyen Tinh Kep Sanh - I think that's the viet title), but those are in Chinese without subtitles. And no City of Sky has not been dubbed yet. And chances are it'll take forever! Another Lifetime of Fate shoudl be releasing in Viet within the first 3 months of 2008. ^_^

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention Another Lifetime of Fate (viet title, Tai Sanh Duyen)- I watched it with the one person voice-dubbed, although I kinda cheated a little and jumped to the ending without seeing some episodes in between (time is a factor here! hehe) And also Lieu Trai w/ her and Jimmy Lin (Love her in there! very innocent/cute!)
I'm glad to hear that it is releasing in Viet next year, I'll definately watch it again! It's a really 'smart' version of MLQ

    As for LBB's movies:

I have a few and seen a few of them:
    - The Knot - SOOOOO GOOD! (If you want, I think I can convert the DVD and upload it online.. with subtitles though!)
    - Silver Hawk
    - Purple Butterfly
    - Waitting Alone (in Chinese)
    - Cat and Mouse
    - Hai De Shi Yan (in Chinese)

    I want:
    - Fight for Love
    - Seventeen Years (LBB only plays a support, but heard it was AMAZING)
    - Wait Till You're Older
    - Blue Lotus (with LY, AGAIN! I want this so bad, but there's none with English subtitles)

Oh shot, have you seen LBB with Jimmy Lin in Truyen Tinh Kiep Yeu Tinh (Liao Chai Zhi Yi), they had great chemistry and I love LBB in there. SOOOO CHARMING!

I also really want to see The Legend of Shang Yang, but I cannot find it with Eng subtile nor Viet Dubbed!

I'm glad to hear that it is releasing in Viet next year, I'll definately watch it again! It's a really 'smart' version of MLQ
HAHA, Tai Sang Suyen did come out in Tuyet Minh, but I cannot stand watching those dubbed version. It frustrates me! So I watched it in Chinese, haha, which was enjoyable, IMO. It helps me with my Chinese. ^_^

The series is very nicely done, I really liked it. And the scenery was GORGEOUS! LBB was also gorgeous in here too. ^_^

I have a few and seen a few of them:
    - The Knot - SOOOOO GOOD! (If you want, I think I can convert the DVD and upload it online.. with subtitles though!)

If you could convert it, that would be soooooo awesome! Is it a good ending?
I love LBB's role as the fox spirit in LT...especially at the beginning. THe scene when she was laying down in that meadow/field and eating those bun cakes, it was sooo innocent looking! I hated it when JL turned into the baddie tho, I just wanna punch him in the face when he had that arrogant look!

The Legend of Shang Yang? What was LBB's role in it?

haha, I don't know any Chinese, so I had no choice but to watch it in the one voice dubbed, although, it wasn't as bad as I expected...the accent was more of Southern Vietnamese rather than Northern. Also, I love it when I could hear the chinese voices in the background too, which clued me into the emotions that are protrayed through the actors/actresses voices.

THe whole time I was watching it, I was wondering what it would've been like if Chen Kun was given the main male lead role (this was before I saw Eight Heroes w/ her and LY! lol)

On a side note, we're definately moving this thread along, haha
