The voice in here is more gentle than LBB's real voice. Actually I think I'd prefer her real voice, but it'd be strange if she doesn't switch her voice when she's posing as the guy.
No no no, I was talking about LBB's voice in "THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM" not "ONLY YOU" - I was talking about her in the youtube exclusive clip from the movie; the part where she commanded her followers to "KILL THEM" - in English!

I don't know if it was really her voicel; but it doesn't sound like it's hers, I mean; WOW, if it is, the tone of her English comes out so strong, it doesn't resemble her Chinese accent!

Yeah, that's her real voice in TFK. So sorry I misunderstood what u're refering to. I could recognize her voice since i've heard enough of it.

Her Chinese accent is not strong but I could still hear it. But her English's quite clear, really better than Ziyi's first try if anyone wants to compare. i think Ziyi's English has improved a lot since then.

Amazing pics up there posted, bigbaby!

The colours of her clothes blend well with the lighting. Another classic and unique feel projected by LBB again. A success!!

No problem! ^_^ I thought it was her real voice, lolz! ^_^ But I've never heard her speak English so I couldn't tell. I mean, not everyone's English sounds like their Chinese tone. ITS TOTALLY DIFFERENT; well, of course it sounds different to an amatuer! HAHA

You are right, LBB's English isn't great, but it is clear enough to hear; as compared to Zhang ZiYi when she first appeared in Hollywood movies. *COUGHS* It was almost TEDIOUS to put up with. ^_^

In the premiere photos, who is the little girl? Is she in the movie too or is she Jacky/Jet's daughter? ^_^ In one photo Jet looks as if he was nurturing her like his own child and in the next, Jacky's holding her tiny hands. SO ADORABLE!

I know Jacky and Jet both have children and one/more of which are female. SO??? Maybe???

Back to LBB's photos, she looks great in the photos, but from the movie, WOW! First time I saw a photo of LBB's character with the long black hair. Now I am curious in why her hair turned white! ^_^ One more day until I get to see the movie; WHOOOA! Cannot wait!

The little girl in the premiere photos is Jet Li's daughter.

For those interested in the American critics' response to Forbidden Kingdom, here's a smattering of reviews that preceded the opening- more should be along the way at this same website over the next few weeks:

    http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/forbidden_kingdom/

Sadly in general, the concensus is that it lives up to what you might expect of a relatively commercial film, which clumsy tries to make use of Chan and Li's celebrity status and target what they assume- possibly correctly- are not-very-discriminating (in terms of character development, language, plot and wuxia traditions) teenage boys in the US.

I'm most disappointed that the dramatic costumes and lovely LBB didn't get much mention. After browsing through a couple of reviews, I didn't find a single mention of her! (And naturally Micheal, Jackie and Jet are the only actors on the title page- no mention of LBB at all at this quite generally popular film-review website!)

On the up side quite a few of LBB's picts made it to the picture slide show on the page.

Are you familiar with the story of the White-Haired Maiden? If this follows the old story, LBB's character have black hair, then it turned white in one night, actually a few seconds, after she was betrayed by her lover of a lifetime, or should I say her lover chose not to trust her.

I would say if the movie failed, it would be because they didn't give LBB's character enough screentime. Did they even screen her story?

The Monkey God is an over-use story in the West, but the story of the White Haired-Maiden is so much more captivating. They wasted all that beautiful clothing, make-up and talent that LBB has.

But I believe if this movie is screened in Asia, reviews would be different, at least we appreciate both LBB and LYF in the movie, both who are embraced in China and hadn't made the international scene yet.

And what, Westerners still think that Tiger-Dragon movie is graceful, to me, the 'Ching-gong', The Gongfu of Lightedness is so fake, I could not bare to watch and the kungfu strokes/sequences don't flow as well. The way the bodies turn, and there're glitches in the sequences. I can't believe Westerners felt the kungfu in the Tiger movie is better!

Default Forbidden Kingdom premiered last night in CA

I watched Forbidden Kingdom last night, having no expectations (except seeing that rottentomatoes.com had a rating of 67%, which meant this is a good movie to watch).

I had no clue who Bingbing Li was. From what I have read here she was supposed to have a scene with her black hair. That was not in the movie. She does not have major screen time, but enough of a screen time to make an impression. Wow, did she IMPRESS! She is very beautiful and has that magical screen presence that demands the audience to look into her eyes, (and what beautiful eyes!) causing a hypnotic effect. I wished they cut some minor scenes of the other girl (who is also pretty, but did not have Bingbing's magnetism) and gave more to BingBing. As you can see, she impressed so much I googled her name and I landed here to read more about her!

Forbidden Kingdom was surprisingly VERY FUNNY, and it is because of that humor that I predict will give this movie some sucess in the US. The audience applauded after the movie (I watched in Dublin, California, which is near San Francisco).

I know I will watch it again in a couple of weeks with friends. I hope we see more of BingBing here in the West. She is so beautiful. Bingbing, if you are here in the forum board, MARRY ME!!!

Perhaps the scenes where she still had black hair were cut out. I'm hoping the dvd might contain the deleted stuffs.

I was hesitant on watching the movie, but with so many confirmation of BB's limited, but rather impressive appearances, I'm gonna give it a try. Based on the high quality pics generously shared by members, she's had me hooked. Those eyes are killer!
