I think LBB one of the classiest actresses (the excellent acting skills goes without saying) in China today and am glad to see that she's going to be in another high profile film! She looks good with Li XiaoMing actually... I wonder if they will have much of a relationship in the movie? Synopsis anyone?

Li was born in Harbin in Heilongjiang province. Originally she had no intention of being an actress and enrolled specifically in a high school for prospective school teachers. However upon graduating she became dissatisfied with her career and eventually was persuaded by a friend to join the Shanghai Drama Institute. She has gone on to perform in a variety of film and television roles. Her film debut was in Zhang Yuan's 1999 film Seventeen Years. In 2005, Bingbing co-starred in the romantic comedy Waiting Alone, a critical hit which received 3 Chinese academy award nominations including 'Best Picture' and 'Best Actress'. August 26th 2007, Li was awarded the 'Best Actress' Huabiao Award, for her role in the movie The Knot. She performed alongside Jet Li and Jackie Chan in The Forbidden Kingdom, which was released in April 2008.

I dragged my husband with me to watch Resident Evil just to see her. Regrettably the movie was utterly trash The only thing I was impressed with was Bing Bing's impeccable English. Her enunciation was spot on, she would have had me fooled if I didn't know she had only recently started to learn English. The entire movie was riddled with so many plot holes and cheesy dialogue, that it became apparent to us nearly everyone involved in the production seem to have given up, or not care at all about the final product. I felt really really bad for Bing Bing; she seem to be the only one who was putting an effort into acting. If Leonardo Dicaprio was ever conned into making an appearance in the abomination called "TWILIGHT", Resident Evil: Retribution would rival that.
