I'm just rewatching Zai Sheng Yuan. I really like her character MLJ in there although she's a bit too tiny for the role. I like the character portrayal.

I heard she won two Best Actress Awards this year and one of them is from China. Too bad she didn't win the Golden Horse as well. She's very down-to-earth and sincere as an actress.

I have he series at home, but its in Chinese and I am not Chinese (I'm viet), I bought the series from yesasia.com because I couldnt contain myself. But I was able to understand the story somewhat, just by watching the acting. And from what I see, I like her character A LOT. HAHA

She's gorgeous in the series, I love her customes (the colors are so beautiful and fitting for her). But yeah, she's so tiny, its hard to believe she'd pull off looking like a male. HAHA!

I hope they would Vietnamese-dubbed it- Not only do I love the story of MLQ, but I also most definately love LBB- Great combination!

I've seen her act in Hui Niang Wan Xing, and she's a really good actress, and pretty too; I think she's much better looking than Fan Bing Bing; I've never liked Fan Bing Bing because my first impression of her was as the not-so-pretty servantgirl in HZGG...and it sort of stuck no matter how many good pictures I've seen of her.

Yes, i love the story of Hui Niang Wan Xin. The pace is really good too. The male actor Li Zonghan you're talking about is a really good actor. His role is really good in Di Ren Jie- Feng4 Cui1 Bian1 Guan1 with Gao Yuan Yuan. You should see his fighting scenes. He's so cool, strong, tender yet tragic in there. I think he co-star with LBB and Ren Quan in an earlier show about football in ancient China called Yi4 Jiao3 Ding4 Jiang1 Shan1.

I like one of the scenes in Hui Niang Wan Xin where he's trying to protect LBB from the arrogant maid. I think it's in the first episode where he says LBB is the mistress and shouldn't do the things that maids are doing. His character got weaker as the show progresses to show his weakness in business matters.

Have you watched The Eight Heroes or A World Without Thieves? They're some of her best roles.

That's fantastic! It's good they're dubbing Chinese shows in Viet these days, but some of the lesser known shows are not yet dubbed yet.

The script is actually a very well-written one, esp if you're into Chinese culture. The sentences uses some ancient Chinese words, flows beautifully yet are still easy to understand. The story is fast-paced, all the incidents connect so well. I actually prefer the emperor's role in the show, because I think the actor (Gao Xin) did a brilliant job. Huang Haibing's acting is a bit below his usual performance.

I find LBB quite a versatile actress and a bit under-recognised. She should be getting making more waves.

I feel FBB is an excellent actress and her looks have improved a lot since HZGG, but I feel she lacks sincerity now. She's not extremely pretty in HZGG, but her role as the down-to-earth, kind and loyal maid is memorable and makes you empathize with her, but now there's so much emphasis on her looks.

I feel she's getting prouder, materialized and vainer these days. Or probably due to bad tabloids. She doesn't emote the kindness that she had in earlier days.

Between Li Bing Bing and FBB, I think LBB is way better on the acting front. Also, I think LBB is taken more seriously as an actress, whearas FBB is more known for her looks.

LBB once said that it not takes only talent, but also luck to become famous, and that she lacked the luck part. I do believe that FBB has more luck than LBB (ie, Princess Pearl series). LBB had to truly rely on her talent, and her looks aren't bad either.
LBB has more class IMO, and there's just something about her that draws viewers in, not just based on her looks alone. Her crying is also one of the best in all of the actresses.

Out of all her series, I have to say that I like her acting the most in "Another Lifetime of Fate- Legend of MLJ."
It's great how she's been more recognized recently, starring in movies and series with well-known actors and big production.

i remembered after "HZGG", FBB had some major supporting roles, but within a year or so, she was leading in some series. i think there was a rumor circulating tats said FBB "seduced" her way to the top. but this is te case with any actress tats went 4rm supporting to leading overnight.

I think the problem with FBB is that she is way over-promoted- I mean, the girl is everywhere! Half of the new series that comes out in a year has her as the lead actress, and I don't think her choices for some series were wise. That's one of the reasons why she's starting to annoy people.

At first, I was neutral with LBB too. I think I first saw her in "Smart Kid" with Dicky, and I liked her character in there a lot. But I didn't really keep up with her news 'till recently. The moment I know that she had became one of my favorite actresses was when I was still watching Sword of Outlaw just to see her onscreen- (Great casts, plain boring storyline if you ask me). "Legend of MLJ" really sealed the deal for me too- Her performance was excellent! (Although I was a little disappointed with the male lead- I felt like he had put in a lackluster performance).

The last 2 yrs had been really good for her. Her popularity had sky-rocketed, and she was able to gain more recognition for her acting. I hope her venture into Hollywood is a sucessful one!
Throughout the whole process, I really think that she was able to remain grounded and professional. For example, I like how she is so supportive of her actor/actress friends. When FBB and Chen Kun released CDs, she was there to support them. You can tell from the friendship that she forged with her costars that she must have a really good personality.

Oh, and I never knew that she could sing! I was truly impressed with her voice, very soothing.

Yeah, i guess she is under-recognized in this forum. She's the latest Best Actress for The Knots and also the first China actress to become spokesperson of Mont Blanc, international brand goods. The Chinese media had her catapulted to the same place as Zhang Ziyi.

I'm looking forward to her new movie where she's the 'Bai Fa Mo Nu'. i love the white hair!!

I guess sharing the same name isn't a good thing for actors. People are always comparing them! I like LBB more too, because she's not all about looks. FBB acts well, but her acting lacks a sense of genuinity for me. She looks classy, but lately some of her actions have garnered a lot of bad publicity for her. I think she needs a break.

Yeah, I agree with you. Luv her acting in Legend of MLJ. The story is so perfect. She acts real cool as a guy in there and quite believable. Everytime she's on screen, I just can't tear my eyes away. After 42 episodes, I still have this feeling, it's not enough. Sigh. I love stories of legendary women. only too bad the story is fictional.

LBB is a very popular actress in China, not specific in Hong Kong! She is most famous for her roles in MOVIES, not series!

And to whoever said that she's not really famous in the forum, you may be right. Not all fans like to go into forum, you'd be surprised by her fanbase (let me tell you, its NOT SMALL!)

Even though LBB may not have as much fans as FBB, she'd gained the hearts of many producers and directors (I've read a few articles on her). A lot of the fans dont like her because they see that she often plays the 3rd parties IN REAL LIFE. A lot of ppl blame her co-stars break-up (such as Ken) on her, because she flirts with them on the set. WHICH IS BOGUS! Because they are ACTING! Some ppl just cant be more mature!

But yes, LBB is almost as famous as Vicki is back in the MainLand China region. ^_^ So don't feel bad that she's underpromoted. She's actually very famous. And I do believe that LBB makes more money from ADs and Commercials (including MODELING) than she does on SERIES. Which is a great thing for her, but not for fans, because we cant see enough of her acting.

And looks, I never thought FBB was cute nor pretty, her oddly large eyes does not fit her sharped shaped face (she was better looking when she had a bit more meat), but now, her face is all skin and bone! LBB, on the other hand, is thin, but she's always been thin and her eyes are gorgeous, not too big nor small. Her skin tone is ALMOST PERFECT. And she has a very nice sex-appeal, IMO. She can be cute but very mature. Which is a double threat. Some ppl can only pull off the cute looks while others the sexy look; but LBB can pull off both. ^_^

I still don't get why people are blaming her for the Ken breaking up w/ his girlfrind thing- It's not LBB's fault that she's gorgeous and her costars might develop something for her. I saw the pictures of her and Ken from the alledged hotel scandel, and I don't see how Ken's fans could label her as being a 'sl*t," She looked completely UNINTERESTED when Ken pulled her in for that kiss on the cheek. He was the one who was all over her, with his arm around her and what not. She was probably shocked and didn't know what to do.
Btw, I heard that she had been married for 8 yrs?

As for her looks, I find it to be very versatile. She can look cute, sexy, mature, etc. depending on what she is wearing/doing. I have to give her props for her fashion sense too. Classy/edgy, yet without being over the top.

The Wan Story is the series where she acted as Wanxin with Li Zonghan as her husband in the story. There's already a thread in the China forum and also some pics from the series on page 4 or 5 on this thread (if I remember correctly)

I don't know about the Ken break-up, but LBB certainly doesn't strike me as someone who'd seduce someone's lover. There are just some people who would never do such a thing and LBB is one of them.
