Is Flu a family of the Sinusitis condition?
Just as I can relate Sinus to allergies and colds.
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!
I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?
Flu is a viral infection that produced muscle ache, fever, occasionally upper respiratory tract disease with cough and occasionally pneumonia.
Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinus, and this may be due to (but not strictly due to) infections by viruses that causes the common cold.

Thank you for the clarification, father Han. I think I have a better idea now.
What about H1N1? They call it Flu? Then they get rather 'excited' even when civilians begin to sniffle.

H1N1 is a variant of the flu virus.
Influenca is made of various outer coating which includes neuramidase(N) and hemaglutinin (H)
This H and N would differ with various replication causing drift and shifts which accounts for the seasonally changes in the structure of the influenza virus and also the pandemics.

Sorry really late reply.
1) Cryo-freezing is the term that describes freezing someone while maintaining their life. It is still not currently feasible. The scientific logic behind is akin to the hibernation of animals.
2) Medically, it is hard for ppl not to die. Various cells in the body keep dying, and there are many cells in the body where the rate of degeneration exceeds the rate of regeneration by multitudes.
It may be possible, in the far far future, to manipulate the controls of the cells so that 1) cells don't die, 2) rate of regeneration = rate of degeneration in an adult.
These may prevent death as we know it.

lately, i've been having knee pain. my knees used to make a cracking noise once in a while, like when you crack your knuckles. now, when i go into deep bends, my left knee bothers me. i'm pretty active, and i think i'm exacerbating the problem by doing kung fu jumps. i also do rock climbing, and just started jogging a couple times a week.
i think i want to see a doctor about this, but which should i go to, a chiropractor or a podiatrist? i think i probably walk funny, and i wear very high heels alot.

Chiropractor specialise in correcting your vertebral bones, so they may get referred for people with neck or back problems. Even then I prefer physios.
Don't know how the health system works there. But here it makes more sense to see your GP first, then get him/her to refer you on to the appropriate services catered to what pathology you have.

I thought most docs would refer such cases to the orthopaedic surgeons?

i just scheduled an appointment with a chiropractor for next week. i don't have a very good primary care doctor. in fact, i'm looking for a new one. i've told her about my knee problems for about 6 months now and she pretty much just blows it off. and some ppl recommended me a very good chiropractor who have professional football players as patients, so he's probably an expert in knee injuries.
just some questions, i'm assumming i shouldn't run, do kung fu, or rock climb for a while. can i still do some low impact stuff on the elliptical? or walk for extended periods of time? (i did some power shopping for about 5 hours yesterday and i think i might have done a 20 mile walk a-thon with a meniscus tear).
and how do they determine if i'll need surgery?
can i still wear heels? i tend to favor the 4 inch variety. either that or ballet flats or converses.
is there anything else i should do differently? have big beefy guys carry me around in a sedan chair? not go to work? please say not go to work! eat more protein? will stretching more help or will that make it worse?

This is something that I always suspected but now have read confirmation.
When you stick a needle in a suspected malignant lump, won’t you puncture the mass and potentially cause metastasis?? Although if confirmed to be malignant, surgery is supposed to start “immediately,” sometimes it could be delayed for a few weeks, no? (Which gives time for cancer to spread) Is there no better alternative like sonograms?
Many yrs ago, when my mom first was told she had a lump, the doc tried to do a needle biopsy (he tried several times during the session) but got inconclusive results. Then ONE MONTH+ later, she underwent surgery to remove the lump, and then cancer was confirmed. The cancer cells were encased in tissue, which helped prevent their spread, but that dang needle biopsy (several different pokes into the flesh) could have punctured the protective case, and the more than a month delay could have had disastrous results.
What are you fighting for? Just mix them into pissing beef balls, stupid.

The risk is a potential.
The thing is that cancer cells if they are not invading into blood vessels etc, have a very very low risk of spreading if they are biopsied.
Ultrasound guided biopsy is a common procedure for other masses such as thyroid. Breast tissue in the middle aged -> old ladies are rather dense and harder to visualise using ultrasound.
The few weeks delay until surgery is unfortunate, but ultimately would likely proved to have little clinical difference as tumor cells do not just mushroom just like that.

dr. han checking up on his patients!? i'm so flattered.
i'm fine. i've been to a regular doctor, chiropractor, and physical therapist, and have had x-rays done. i have fluid in my knees from some earlier injury. and i have fallen arches. and i have inflamed tendons. and some angle of something in my knee is 20 degrees, whereas the average woman should be 15 degrees. i'm born deformed!
i've rested and haven't hit the gym in about a month. i feel so lazy. i think i may go back tomorrow. apparently, i'm "one of those ppl who shouldn't take the stairs." the doctors say i should avoid stairs and running, and certain exercise machines. i'm going to give it another week or two before i go back to kung fu and rock climbing. i'm kinda sad that i can't run anymore. but before i exercise i'm supposed to take a motrin, and ice down my knees after exercise.

Pem,
Sounds like you got a pretty good primary care doctor and a pretty sensible patient i.e. yourself. Hope that everything will work up well.
