vincent n alyssa didn't kiss in the series. that's coz the scene got cut out. the part where she's supposed to run up to him n kiss him was wen she went to tell him that he needs to marry yuan yuan. but they cut it out.... so wen she ran towards him, they blanked out the screen and then they showed the part where she's in his arms n she's crying.

hua mu lan was a silly lovey dovey series..my bf tot the part whereby huamulan challenged the Khan guy with 20++ soldiers was silly..and the emperor complimented her? err... and wats wif immortals flying around in the serial?

u shud rewatch yi tian du long ji, i think she did a great job of portraying Zhou Zhiruo. After my mum finishes Book and sword, i can finally get to Shen Yi Xia Lu..heheh.. got my mum to buy the original version in Malaysia..costing abt 60 SG dollars approximately..
Isnt Gao Yuan Yuan a new actress? nvr seen her act before..but ive seen Alyssa act tons of series..one of the cast in Zhong Kui, then see her in Swordsman III wif Vincent Jiao, then in Wu Meiniang hehe..
the only good stuff abt Huamulan was Zhao Wen Zhuo's martial arts,but i din like his character as much as his in New Fang Shiyu and Wu Meiniang
Huamulan was a family comedy and it was a cheat of vcd..48vcds but only one episode per disc..other series like Wumeiniang, Shen Yi and Yi Tian had 1 and a half episode per disc

the label on my original VCD says Genius Physician, so here it will be noted as. Tho my signature implies i am a fan of Dong Xiao Yan (Mo Niang), i m more of a zhao-alyssa fan in this series. Why? U can say that Dong is more of a new actress as she is younger compared to Zhao n alyssa, plus she has so little screen time. In series that she acts, she practically gets me glued to the screen. As for Zhao, his martial art moves are very realistic, although there r parts of the serial that do not look realistic e.g.
1. when the Empress holds a banquet to happily announce she has regained her youth, there is a dark sky with plenty of stars. the sky looks a little fake, so i had 2 pretend i din see it.
2. when Alyssa's father pushes out the poison from Gao Yuan Yuan's body. the blood looks fake.

Nevertheless, the bats look real, tho, viewed from far away, and the acting is very entertaining. However, i do not really like Gao's character in comparison with other characters like Alyssa's. I don really like how she clings to Zhao in every episode.

which character u find the most annoying in SYXL? i find gyy's character annoying, but she matures later on. i dislike the hei chun guo warrior girl xuan zhi (by yang rui) most..juz dislike her..

hey crimson18. I will join you. I loooooveee Shen yi xia lu! Yeah, hei chun guo girl is a little annoying but not anywhere as annoying as liu Shuan's sister. Don't care much for yuan yuan here either. I hate Liu Shuan's brother, the queen, that servant guy, and the guy who supposed liked bat girl a LOT.

Basically the only thing I loved here was ZWZ and Alyssa. Oh ti ying's friend is cool too can be a little too much at times but he's funny.

i was practically cheering when Xiang Yun (Lu Ching) defeated Liu Xuan's sister when he tried to defend Ti Ying. Liu Xuan's sister is really mean. Like, Liu Xuan n Ti Ying r the real couple. n she calls Ti Ying a b**** and even declares she wouldnt mind the Empress putting Ti Ying to death! n later Ti Ying even saves her! so ungrateful.

the guy Gao Yuan Yuan gets is Lu Ching and his character's name is Xiang Yun. The pic Tie Lin Dao Ming posted is his pic and he's a warrior (actually the grandson of a warrior king) from Village Xiang. He meets GYY when he was assigned the mission to assassinate the Empress and ended up (at that time) shielding her from an arrow, in which he was injured. GYY had a special feeling for him whenever she saw him. They only get together after GYY ventures with Alyssa's friend (Tang An) to Village Xiang to look for Liu Xuan, and both later realize they shouldnt be breaking up a meant-to-be couple. GYY likes Liu Xuan at 1st and Lu Ching likes Alyssa.

In the series, the bat girl Mo Niang is somehow a nuisance when she vows love for Liu Xuan, but then, she doesnt get much screen time and the way she attempted suicide in the end was very touching and realistic. The funny thing was, i thought there would be some interesting part in the film leading to Ti Ying being her and Chun Yu Yi's daughter. Coz, the doctor (Chun Yu Yi - Ti Ying's dad) was very nice to her, and at that time when he saved her, he was rather young. And in the beginning of the serial, Ti Ying and Ti Le had no mother. But anyway, Mo Niang seems a virgin coz she is slim (like the rest of the main female cast).

What seemed funny to me was the empress' undying love for youth, and even how she slept with 4 youthful men when she got her youth back temporarily. then, she's always wearing that sexy outfit when she sleeps, even when she looks old. Isnt it supposed to be cold at night? That was a nice ending for her, havin an overdose of medicine and paralysed for life.

Also, is that the only scene cut out? Because if more are cut I would do just about anything to get my hands on that version!

I'm really anticipating this series but since I can't understand chinese, I have to wait until they dubb it in thai, which is extra long! Oh dear! But I really want to see it because I love Zhao and Alyssa!

erm, its not like her fault but how the script made her character out to be, shes juz acting according to the script if im not wrong. alyssa's character is lovable cause its so obvious that she got the much better and juicier role

NEWAYS..lol. yea, i dont mind alyssa in tha same series with gao yuan yuan either! like first, in MH..then i watchd HSDS..nd now there's gonna b QWLSM! it's like their attached hehe. but i enjoy it bcs i've gotten so used to see them togethr in series..so i don't mind whether they're fighting for a guy or not. like i'm currently watching World's Finest with gao yuan yuan..evrytime i see her onscreen, i alwys think..wheres alyssa?! isnt she in here with u?! haha..but..of course not.. >.<
nd yup, they're really good friends in real life..which is pretty cool. i got some really really goofy pics of them togethr when they were filming HSDS..fun times for them..
