There's her dad, her older sister, and two male helpers. I'm not sure if he's the doctor who invented the miracle drug. There is a lot of fighting. Well, at least in the first episode there was. ZWZ is a general sent by Empress Lu to find the miracle drug.
That clip you're talking about happened in the first episode. It was soooo funny, especially when Alyssa was adding up the patient's bill and it was $# for pulling out the bad tooth, but then they owed him $#### for pulling out 13 good teeth along with it.

Thanks for answering my question, Fallen Angel. Do you think it is a good serie? Was Alyssa's character very funny? Hope she was not an airhead. I saw some pretty intense fighting between ZWZ and another guy (his brother?) in the trailer. Is he the main bad guy? That guy also liked GYY but she only liked ZWZ. The trailer also showed a scene where a bunch of bats killed some guy. What was that about?

No, FaMoonLau…….Alyssa (Ti) didn’t play an airhead, thanks God !

She is cute, smart, outgoing and bubbly in this series….sort of like her character in both HSDS and Empress Wu (before she become the empress Wu)! But I couldn’t said the same about GYY (Qing Zi) tho…don’t really like her character in here….too weak and vulnerable for my taste. She played one of those helpless female that can’t seem to take care of themselves without someone else helping them !

There are two main bad guys in this series, ZWZ's brother (Xiang) and ZWZ's rival....the other personal guard who always jealous of ZWZ (Zhang)!

Xiang and Zhang both grow up with Qing Zi, but she has always loved/prefer Zhang.....however, Zhang only has brotherly feeling for her. This unhealthy love triangle created tention between the two brothers and later on leads Xiang into betraying the Lui family.

I actually feel soooo sorry for poor old ZWZ (Zhang) in here , not only does he has to hide a big secret but also has to face all sort of female troubles as well !

PS: FaMoonLau....which bat scene are you talking about? There are a lot in this series!

Hi, Fallen Angel, I am relieved that Alyssa was not an airhead. Otherwise, I may have to return the serie. Saw GYY in HSDS and don't really like her so it is ok that she played a helpless female. Hope Alyssa has more screen time than GYY. ZWZ's brother looked pretty crafty and vicious. Was the love triangle his main gripe in the serie?

Also saw Liu Xue Hua in the trailer. God, she looked like a hag. No wonder she needed the miracle drug. Was she GYY's mom? Two other familiar faces I saw are the guy who played Song Qing Shu and his dad in HSDS. They looked like they played some kind of court officials here.

In the bat scene I saw in the tralier, an older guy was attacked by a bunch of bats and there was blood all over. Did he get eaten by the bats?

Yap…Alyssa is the main character so she does have more screen time than GYY !

GYY is Liu Xue Hua’s niece (her brother’s daughter) and Liu Xue Hua looks old because her character purposed to an over 50 years old women but you’re right…..her is an old hag ! She is a mean, manipulating and insecure old woman who doesn’t care about hurting/using anyone as long as she gets her ways. ZWZ’s brother happened to be one of these people that she used…..not that he doesn’t reserved what he got, but because of his weakness for GYY and his jealousy over ZWZ she was able to manipulate him into betraying his own family and relatives!

FaMoonLau….Sadly I don’t remember much about the faces/character in HSDS, except Alyssa and Alec’s character ...so I can’t really say much about the two officials.....

As for the bat scene…..well do you know where did the old guy got attacked…..was it in the palace or was in the forest! Cuz there were some scenes of some guys getting attacked in the palace when the bat lady trying to steal the miracle drugs!

Not only does it seem like HGZ's dad is everywhere, the actor who played Song Qing Shu's dad seems to be everywhere too. He's in the "Ping Zong Xia Ying" I'm watching as well. Just to jog your memory, Song Qing Shu was the annoying son of the first disciple of Wudang who fell in love with Zhou Zhi Ruo (played by Gao Yuan Yuan) in HSDS 2003.

40 episodes altogether? I thought it was 48 episodes total?

It definitely said episodes 40 on the ending episode! Ohh my God, I've been robbed ! No wonder there were so many unanswer questions after episodes 24......scenes that doesn't make sense ! I guessed they probably start cuting out some scenes from episodes 25 onward ....Hopefully you can answer some of these questions when you start watching it again.

Hi Fallen Angel and Lady Zhuge, my order won't arrive till next week. But it comes in two boxes with a total of 48 discs. The guy I saw being attacked by the bats was in a garden, not a forest. Who is the bat lady? Can't wait till I get the discs so I can start watching the serie.

I notice that the following three guys are in almost all the recent shows:
1. the guy who plays Hua Gu Zhi's dad
2. the one who plays Zhong Su Qiu's dad in Hua Gu Zhi
3. the one who plays Song Qing Su's dad

Looks like the supporting cast is making more money than the leads.

Alyssa's costume looked like a nanny uniform! Hope her costume gets better as the serie progresses. What do you think of ZWZ? He looked quite suave in the trailer. His axe kungfu was quite impressive.

from wot i know, mo niang used to be a concubine of some sort in the palace as well. but coz the empress got jelous of her, she was sumhow kicked out. mo niang and the empress should be of the same age. but coz mo niang stole the never ageing potion thing from the empress, she becom young again.
zwz was always nice to her and she was touched by his sincerity. and so she fell in love with him.
she would go to any extent to be with him. she even broke his leg for him to stay with her longer, poisoned him and everything. but the zwz escaped from her and crwaled all the way to alyssa's place for her to save him.

My about 40 mins per episodes too! I didn't buy it.....all the series that I've watched were rented from my local rental in VHS format! I only buy the one I really like for collection from yeasasia.com......but in this case, I noticed that yeasia's version is also 48 episodes long too......

first who ends up with who:
alyssa ends up with zwz and have 3 (from memory its 3, coz i havent seen the series yet) kids together.

yuan yuan ends up with the clan leader who fell madly in love with alyssa at first.

im not sure wot happens to mo niang.

zwz's bro dies in the end coz of his evil deeds.
coz he loved yuan yuan and she didn't return the love, he raped her. sorry to say, but its true.
i don't think he was involved in another relationship.

about yuan yuan and alyssa....
yuan yuan is not totally inferior to alyssa.
alyssa is onli given lead roles becoz she has been in the industry for way longer than yuan yuan (i think she's been in the entertainment circle for 15 years while yuan yuan has only been for 2 years).
in their new series together, qin wang li shi ming, yuan yuan is the central female character while alyssa is second lead.
u could say that yuan yuan now leads over alyssa. but this happened coz alyssa turned down the role in the first place coz she had a tight schedule, and wen she was free again, she did a guest star and eventually the director made a role for her.
but to c it in another way, yuan yuan is eventually the lead. and this time they are not involved in a love triangle of any sort.
yuan yuan is paired up with peter ho who is the main guy who plays li shi ming.
alyssa on the other hand is a river girl who falls for bao jian feng (the emperor in wu mei niang).

i don't think yuan yuan will en up with peter coz in history they didn't get together. but they ahve already made a drastic change to history through yuan yuan's character, so mite as well let them b together.
but wen isaw the poster, it looks like they have a sad relationship... i doubt they'll end up together.

neways, back to mh.

zwz did love alyssa a lot, which is y he crawled all the way to her place.
since i haven't seen the series, i don't know if alyssa is a good doctor or not. but from wot i know, her father shuld be a gud doctor. i think alyssa is just goofy at the beginning. like how she yanked the guys teeth out and all.... i think eventually she'll be good. and i think she was the one that looked after zwz wen he crawled to her place.

also, about her character being goofy... alyssa said that this character has been the wildest character she has played in her life. she would call it the ancient version of my sassy girl (i think it was my sassy girl... or was it my wild girlfriend... one of them).
