I liked ZWZ and JJW's sweet scenes. The guy who acted as ZWZ's brother was quite handsome, it was a pity GYY could never reciprocate his love, and if she did, he probably wouldn't have turned evil. But anyway I liked the 'evil' Liu Xiang better than the good one. The last part when GYY and Xiang Yu were patched up was a bit feeling-less and too rushed. So much for a goody goody ending. and I heard the actress who played as ZWZ's sister was his gf in real life. I didnt really like GYY here, so much for sad-sad roles. Preferred her in HSDS coz she has a sort-of villain role. JJW's role is pretty much like Ariel's in ISWAK.. clumsy and confused yet kind. I'm a fan of JJW, but her hairstyles are quite ugly and preferred them in other serials, even in HSDS was better.

It's weird Dong Xiaoyan is playing an old woman when she was born in the 80s, was it 1982 or 1983. Forgot. Her hairstyle's quite unique, though, as compared to her role in Hua Mulan or her role as Gongsun Lu-e in Richie Ren's Condor Heroes.

What makes u say that? coz u dont like her? Well i surfed many sites and couldnt find her DOB..
then i got tired of it and googled for her name then found something 1982 or 1983..from some university website..or something..forgotten..
I made a site on her in the past.. she is one of my idols..
but I just thought she was too young for Sunxing in "hua mulan" and hes tooo uglyyyyyyyyy for her! way too ugly! i wished they had cast a better more handsomer and a better person in acting than sunxing! he just sucked sometimes! and the fact he like go after a young woman (huo si yan) in one of those china dramas..the zui hou what ge ge drama.. eeeee..liked him before coz he like dong xiao yan in mulan but hate him to the extreme nowww!!

but she was convincing as a girl in her teens in the beginning of Hua mulan, even if she isnt born in d 80s like i am.

Which characters she look old? Issit in Qing She Yu Bai She? Hua Mulan and Shen Diao Xia Lv she look okay lar.. Anyway she should be around 30++ and Sunxing is near 50 so I think he is not good enough to act as her boyfriend and a better guy should play it, someone with better looks and better acting.
But I dont mind though about her acting in Shen Yi Xia Lu as I watched it for Alyssa and Wing.. they made a cute couple.. didnt really care for Gao Yuanyuan..

About DXY, I was just thinking Sunxing is near 50 and he is in no wayyyyyyyyy good enough for her and he shouldnt have acted as her lover in Mulan but someone with better acting and better looks should have in order to suit. I havent seen the Liao's. Is it good? Coincidentally, I've only seen DXY in wuxia films: Shen Yi, Shen Diao and Mulan. Maybe she has the old fashioned drama-kind of look and she looks too matured for modern series.

But she has good acting, right? Im no biggie fan of hers, just a normal fan, just liked how she looked in guzhuang series. Well, at least better acting than Sunxing, u know who he is right? Im comparing him to her as they acted as lovers in the Mulan drama and its not fair, he gets bigger roles than she does and he's more than 10 years older than her and ugly and fat, and his acting is way inferior to hers. What do you think? Just wondering.. since you seem to watch China drama quite a lot.

On SX:
I thought u were from China so u could have a viewpoint on what the Chinese (from China) think of him. I wish he could have done a better job. He's old and been acting for so long, yet his acting doesnt improve. Everyone thinks he did a terrible job in Fengyun as Wuming, and I guess everyone fast forwards SX's scenes in Mulan.. i dont know why Anita Yuen (female lead of Mulan) looks up on him so much.
Anyway, hes not in Shen Yi, so I couldnt care much.

On DXY:
Still think she looks young in old fashioned series and much older in modern.. Just think she shud stick to old fashion..
well i remember when Shen Yi was released ppl tot DXY was a woman in her 20s and there were people on the Taiwan site saying she has a nice figure and if someone said if he was ZWZ's character he would choose her and her martial arts was the best in comparison
anyway Shen Yi is quite old already ^^ didnt like how DXY didnt have a choice NOT to kiss ZWZ's lips coz it was in the script, read an article on the web some time before watching Shen Yi.. she herself was somewhat shocked about what she had to do, but it was her job anyway^^

I've been watching this for a while, and am now up to Episode 12. While I'm enjoying the developing friendship between Tiying and Liu Xuan, I haven't seen any hint of romantic feeling between them yet. Instead, I was startled to see Liu Xuan's protective reaction when Tiying was set to be executed by the Empress for giving her the wrong instructions to use the elixir, and on another occasion, to hear Liu Xuan ask if Tiying would be unhappy if he married Qinzi. I didn't realise he had already developed feelings for her. Could someone pinpoint the time when it started, or is this reaction just a natural protectiveness that Liu Xuan seems to develop towards the girls in his life?

If at this stage Liu Xuan has not actually fallen for Tiying, which episode does he finally realise his feelings? And which episode does Tiying reciprocate these feelings?
