I live in the U.S...not sure if its out in Canada yet, but I heard someone told me that series are released in Canada first before reaching U.S. -
I know, I've been dying to see this series

And is FINALLY out!! YAY!! God does have mercy after all..don't have to wait like a whole yr or something like some other series

So far, only 1-4 has been released, so I'm waiting for the whole series to be released so I can see it in succession..instead of being angry and anticipated if tapes ended at a good part

Actually Gao Yuan Yuan's acting is very good, she pulls off the roles of both Zhou Zhi Ruo or Qin Zi very well. I didn't really mind the fragile princess role she had to play. Without her, there will not be the discord between the two brothers, and half of Shen Yi Xia Lu will not have happened.

ive heard really bad stuff on gyy's kter n i dislike her kter based on wad ppl say her to be bt i still love her, the actress...and cant blame her for being annoying n weak cause thats wads her kter's supposed to portray...the director made her do it..if she made ppl dislike her kter thn i guess she's successful in acting out her role

i definitely agree with u..even i hated GYY in HSDS and so was here..cuz her roles annoy me somehow and she does not fit the weak roles that well..

Hence my words on previous post when I said "I know its not her fault, and yet more towards the script and producers." I dont' find the need to be jumping around in other threads to talk about my dislike for this certain actress since the subject of GYY and HSDS has been arisen in here and also in Alyssa's thread, I might as well add my thoughts to it. If you don't like it, then there's absolutely no reason for you to read it.
I not only dislike her character as you said, but her acting also. I'm sure you encounter these situations all the time. There's just SOMETHING that just make you dislike that certain actress/actor first time seeing them. And in my case, it happens to be GYY. Now it would be completely weird for me to jump to the TVB section and start talking about her, but since this thread is somehow related to her, I think I have a right to talk about her, don't you?

No I don't agree with that.. Well, can you see Alyssa taking the role? Alyssa is more suitable for either cute characters or strong characters, but for her looks, she isn't really suitable for the "weak" characters. Qin Zi is more of the delicate fragile hot house flower, and she does grow up. Her 3rd last scene, where she had to stab Liu Xiang, was very well done. You see her shaking from the shock of her stabbing Liu Xiang, but you see the determined look in her eyes even though she still looks very fragile and in need of protection.

It's not really Gao Yuan Yuan's fault, but she had always been taking on the roles that were not as likeable, compared to Alyssa's roles, and usually seen as the 3rd party or the one spoiling everything/turning evil.., thus it's not surprising that people don't like her. But I personally feel that her acting is rather good, and improving, I actually prefer her acting this time compared to HSDS, despite the weak character, and she is very pretty in ancient costumes (although her skin is rather dark), and without the permanent frown on her face, I like her more.

When I said that "any other actress could have been in GYY's role in MH and cause a discord" meaning that its already WRITTEN in the script and part of that plot. If another actress took GYY's place, then I'm sure the 'discord' won't be stopped just b/c its not GYY..

Didn't I recall some people saying that GYY acted as a strong person in HSDS? In this case, if she could go from strong to weak..then why couldn't Alyssa do the same thing? Sure, we won't like her character, but that doesn't mean she can't do it

u seem to b e only that likes gyy kter n acting in MH...maybe u watch e show to appreciate nt only e storyline bt e acting skills of actresses...others juz hate e kter if he or she is bad eventhough their acting skills may be gd...or some juz hate e actress no matter whether they r gd or bad cause they juz dun like e person portraying any role...or some feel that the actress is bad in kter n acting n so hate em...
