I'm in the middle of the book now and the story is actually about part 3 of the game because Nemesis is in it.

Alice has nothing to do with the game at all, from what I know... so I am guessing yes this movie explains a "side story" but also "main story" from the "RE: Nemesis" game, I have no clue why they had input Alice at 1st place ... totally not related to RE if I have not mistaken... anyway both movie still good to me ^^ can't wait to see the next one... yes definitely there's another SEQUEL ^^

Okee saw a really bad version on this (don't ask me how just search on the net and you will find it )

anyways it is nice they actually they mention how the Nemesis was but I guess you can assume who he was if you saw the ending for the 1st movie.

Also it give you an idea what the T-virus is all about... that there are good things out of it instead of turning people into zombie.

i just don't want to give it away but Alice does kick butt in the sequal... and there will be lots of death and one really funny yet gross (depends how sensitive you are to graphic and political correctness) scene in the school.

Enjoyable yes, would I go see again probably not.

Just saw it. It's cool but I like the music and the way of direction of part 1 better. It's not scary or gory either.

I'm glad it's more straight on action film (losta automatic weapons -Zombie action) than try to a suspenel/action/horror thingy..

Yah Milla Jovovich kicks***.. , but I hope she dun get typecasted, her Alice reminds me very much of of her role in the "fifth element"... .

I'm sure anyone who remembers that role would have a sense of dejavu watching Alice in this movie..

i saw this on opening weekend and thought that it was a really good action, no brain thinking, kind of movie!

I loved the part where the black guy runs over a zombie and goes "GTA, 5 points!". If no one got it, he was referring to Grand Theft Auto. Also, the film was shot in Toronto and I found it really funny that when they said they'd go City Hall, it was actually Toronto's city hall.

Good movie. Lots of action, but if you're also looking for horror you're better off looking elsewhere.

Minor gripes:

- the jittery camera during the fight scenes (could hardly make out what was going on) For some reason, recent directors think using this technique is modern and hip...to me, it's just annoying.

- characters with faulty logic

When they were in the school looking for the girl, Jill Valentine actually remarks "it'd be faster if we split up"...geez, doesn't she know that there is survival in numbers??

- the director didn't even hide the fact that the movie was filmed in Toronto (the CN Tower was in plain view in one of the shots) so instead of referring to the movie as RE: Apocalypse, I just call it RE: SARS gone wild

hope that Claire Redfield will be in the 3rd sequel... hmm they should be faithful to the game's storyline since RE1.

If you notice the film where the semi hit that SUV where they picked up the girl... you know that is the same semi that start off at RE2.
