Health Benefiting Sword Finger Stance

The Chinese name for this exercise is Yang Sheng Jian Zhi Zhuan . It is the first dynamic Qigong form. It is designed to help open up Big Cosmic Orbit and is good for whole body adjustment and healing.

Time/Direction

Best practice before sunrise or right after sunrise, facing the East; but it is not strictly required.

Posture

Stand with your feet slightly wider than your shoulders, with your knees slightly bent, and your upper body straight. For a moment, visualize your feet extending like the roots of a tree 9 feet down into the earth. For the rest of the exercise, try not to move your feet more than necessary. Imagine yourself becoming one with the sky and the earth.

You should look straight ahead at the far horizon. Listen to far-away sounds, and hear them down in the bottoms of your ears.
