1 Deng and Chow Bak Tung: the reconciliation

By the time he met Gwok Jing and Wong Yung in LEGEND OF THE CONDOR HEROES, the former South Emperor Deun Chi Hing (then 1 Deng the Monk) had already long forgiven Chow Bak Tung for having cuckholded him with Ying Goo. Chow Bak Tung, however, had a much harder time forgiving himself. It would not be until the end of RETURN OF THE CONDOR HEROES some thirty-plus years later (and only because Yeung Gor and Gwok Seung literally twisted his arm into doing it) that Chow Bak Tung finally reconciled with 1 Deng. Still, did Chow Bak Tung ever become comfortable in 1 Deng's presence? They ended up being neighbors, but to the end, I got the feeling that Chow Bak Tung was not comfortable in 1 Deng's company.
