I notice a lot of people post pictures, avators, quotes, etc from copyright resources... is this okee on the SPCNET?
Cause I mean we already clear about music, tv shows and movies... but what about images, literature, or thoughts?

Thoughts are our opinions which should be okay but not sure about the rest.
Not sure why i put thought in there hehe... anyways. I just find it weird that media like music, tv shows and movies are more focus when dealing with copyright while pictures aren't...

A lot of pictures posted here have watermarks of its original copyrights. Therefore, it is not a problem. In addition, what can you do about these pictures? Are you able to sell it? No! Many pictures in here are for personal use and therefore it is legal. However, if you're a law abiding citizen, then a credit to its source would be great.

well almost everybody just take pictures from sites and modify it and use it
i still think people should cite it, especially screen caps and such. i remember people from other websites getting upset in the past because members were taking their images without permission, or properly giving credit.

I think the hardest part is the Avator... is hard to site it on such a small space....

I agree with james, ppl just don't do it, and ppl don't cite their stuff, it's not like they are gonna sell it or something
I think copyright & citing is not an issue here.
But I heard webmasters of other website were unhappy with url reference that uses their bandwidth. As I don't know much about owning a website and the so called use of bandwidth, can someone kindly explain to me how much does a url link to a website's pics truly affect the use of bandwidth of that website??
