Yeah, I gonna ask my dad to get it... (it's cheaper in Malaysia... for reasons I will not expose)

Although it's messed up that Lucas digitally replaced the Darth Vader spirit with... HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN.... *vomits*

Oh that sucks. I think I'm gonna buy the old used tapes from 10 years ago instead which should be in its original version. I don't want to see the greatest films ever being messed up.

Exactly. Pretty disrespectful to the old guy who originally played Darth Vader.

But I saw a place taking pre order for over $50 a set (that is cdn of course).

I'm gonna rent it first and see how it's like. If everything is still good like the original then I'll buy the whole trilogy.

I'm sure if you overlook the last part, everything's fine.

I wonder if they have added scenes to it. There is suppose to be 4 disks... I guess the last dvd must be just special features like comments by the actors and interviews...

I wonder if they will include the trailer for the next star war movies....

They actually have a 2 hour long documentary, I think. Or was it one and a half or two and a half? Hmmm.

But yeah, they said the special features are great stuff.

I will buy the DVD set and am very excited about it. I'm excited but very disapointed at the same time. I have no doubt that the picture quality and the sound will be the best you've ever seen or heard of the "original" trilogy. I'm very disapointed by the fact that it's the re-edit Special Edition and not THE Original that we all (old fans) loved decades ago. For conservation purposes, I bought a bootleg DVD version of the original trilogy transfered from a laserdisc set. I'm one of the purist fans who likes the movies as they were when they first came out on the big screen. All I wanted was a clean up of the picture and digital surround sound like they did with the Indiana Jones DVD set. The rest should stay the same, even the Yup Yup song.

First saw the original trilogy in 1997 eh? Was it the real Original or the Special Edition released in theatres in 1997?
