Siblings Wang Yongtai (Chen Shucheng) and Wang Yongding (Liu Qianyi) carved their career in the food and beverage industry. Yongtai failed in running his business well, which subsequently shrank into a humble restaurant. Yongtai and his wife Xiuping (Li Yinzhu) have 3 sons Wang Xi (Zhang Wenxiang), Wang Yu (Edmund Chen), Wang Jie (Christopher Lee), and a daughter Wang Fei (Joey Swee).

Yongding on the other hand made a good name for himself by building a food conglomerate. After retirement, he hands over his assets to his 2 sons Jianguo and Jianye.

However, soon after Jianguo and Jianye lay their hands on the family fortunes, they cast their sick father aside. Their callous and unfilial behaviour break Yongding’s heart. To make matters worse, he faces nearly $ 1,000 of medical bills each month. Yongding has no choice but to beg his sons for a portion of his money. Yet Jianguo and Jianye remain unmoved.

At this juncture, Yongtai unexpectedly strikes Toto and wins a million dollars. In his joy, he cannot wait to share the good news with his family. Yongding quickly stops him, reminding Yongtai to learn from his own lesson. He suggests that Yongtai keep the windfall from his children.

Yongtai has witnessed his brother’s sorry plight and begins to have second thoughts about announcing his good fortune. Then disaster befalls. Yongtai’s second son, Wang Yu, passes away suddenly. Wang Yu had been the apple of Yongtai’s eye. He was always outstanding and has just been promoted to a departmental head. His demise unfortunately came on the day of his 38th birthday celebrations.

i tink the little boy acting was so cute! not a bad actor i guess...

edmund chen died again??!!..lol... i was following double happiness I when edmund died towards the end of the drama... now he dies right in the beginning of the drama..omg...this drama was sired in malaysia.. but once i found out that he died, and the first episode was not very interesting..i only watched it when i had the time... so as a result, i didn't really get much of the story...only a little of the sub plots...
