    Default Open Debate Forum Guidelines

Here are some additional guidelines for the OD forum.

Full forum guidelines can be found here: http://www.spcnet.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=3827

A Debate? - Remember that this is a debate forum. When you make a new topic, make sure it has something that can be debated.

Debate quality - Please put an effort into the debate topics you create. Make sure they aren't too similar to one of the existing debate topics. Secondly, make sure they are more than just a simple mere question. Debate topics should be carefully thought out.

Spam - Please put an effort into the posts you make. This is a forum and not a chatroom. Therefore, it should be treated this way. Please don't post short meaningless posts (eg. Cool!, Thanks!), posts that only contain a smiley, or a post that only contains an image.

Off topic - Please try to keep on topic. A little off topic is harmless, but it shouldn't throw a whole thread off. If you really want to discuss something totally different from the topic, please start a new thread.

Relationships - Love Relationship topics are not tolerated. This is a debate forum and not an online dating service. The relationships forum was closed down for a reason. Love relationships topics will be closed.

Flaming and Insulting - Posts that make personal attacks on another user will not be tolerated. This includes using profanity and other insults. When debating, attack a point and not a person.

Personal Comments - If you have a personal comments for a particular member, send him/her a PM. The discussions at the forum should be such that any member, including newbies, can have take part in.

If you have any concerns about the guidelines, please PM one of the moderators of the Open Debate forum.

    Update:

I've noticed that a few people still bypass the censor by changing one of the letters. This is a reminder that this is not allowed. There is a reason these words are censored. Do not change one letter so that you bypass the censor. Please leave the censor alone.

    Thank you.
