The future development of Kingdom's love life is very funny and interesting. She gets into a love triangle with Lun and Lau Dan. Did I mention she gets a make-over too?
Wah! I was looking at your VOH2 page and was finally able to see Kingdom's new look. She looks so pretty and stylish! But I noticed that she no longer dresses like a "banana." Hehe.

It's going to be such a long wait... wished the dubbers would hurry up. I need more than 2 tapes a week for my VOH2 fix.

Compared to last week's, the comedy and excitement in this week's tapes was toned down. I enjoyed this week's tapes but not as much as I did last week. Last week was just classical and a hilarious concoction of laughter that was hard to beat. So I guess that's why I was a little disappointed. Nevertheless, still good.

    Good points
    - The conclusion to the "lottery" storyline is hilarious! I especially loved how it tied in with Stephanie at the company.
    - Bondy becoming "sisters" with Linda
    - Linda fetching Bondy's wedding ring is so touching! It was very realistic because I could see the tears brimming in her eyes when that roach crawled on her. It's very sweet of her to overcome her fear to get Bondy's wedding ring.
    - It's adorable how Linda frowned at her uncle after she catches him eating fishballs. "You lied to me! You said you wouldn't eat bad foods anymore!" Again, I could see her eyes starting to water. She is just so cute in this scene.
    - When Linda realized that Nancy was good for her uncle's health was hilarious. It was especially cute how she jumped around and freaked out like a little girl. It was touching how she would go to any extent just to make sure her uncle was fine.
    - Johnny Ngan and Helen trying to sell their house (again) was so funny! Haha they were so happy that their property had become so valuable. Too bad they were conned! Hahaha. I feel bad for them actually. Their evil and greedy tactics always fail. Hahaha.
    - Nancy and Albert fighting and arguing. I loved how Nancy would go do anything to make sure that Albert didn't move into the apartment building -- including faking an account to buy Johnny and Helen's apartment. Hahah. She is so funny.
    - The storyline with Stephanie's dog "Cheque" was so funny! It's hilarious how much she loves her dog and treats him better than a person. I loved how the family ate the dog's expensive foods and took him to the doctor. The doctor was funny as well. "How do you know all of this?" "The dog told me." Haha the family all had blank expressions on their faces and he nodded. HILARIOUS. I also liked it when Stephanie called the house by surprise to check up on her dog. Of course the ending to the story was so humorous.

The only bad thing about this week's tapes was the lack of excitement. These episodes were pretty bland. I mean they were some very good and funny scenes. But overall it wasn't very interesting or exciting like last week's. Still, Linda's beauty, cuteness, and improved acting make up for it I'm looking forward to next week's though as always!

Weekly "Virtues of Harmony II" Tape Awards
    "Part V" Tapes 19-20 (Episodes 213-216... 319-324)

Yes, I've decided to do them again because writing a regular plain review was getting boring

    Funniest Plotline

I absolutely loved the whole deal with Louis's money! It was hilarious when Bondy tried to become like Louis (obnoxious and shameless) but it didn't work for her because Louis is naturally incurable while Bondy can be changed. Hahaha. It was funny when he was with Teresa Ha (7th sister). He gave her a few hundreds while she gave him back a couple thousands! I also like it when everyone refused to pay so everything was cut. The most hilarious part was all the references to VOH. "Uncle, "VOH" is almost going to air. You love to watch it and follow the storyline every night," says Joyce. Bondy replies "Yeah but too bad our cable is cut." Hahahaa so Louis goes and gets his binoculars and watches VOH from the neighbor's TV. Louis cracks up and says "Haha "VOH" is hilarious!" Nancy gets excited and asks, "Oh? What are they doing that's so funny?" Hahahaha.

    Highlight Comedy #1

Yvonne is so dumb and slow which makes her really funny. It was funny when she turned her body down and sideways to open the cap. Hahaha. I also cracked up when she found Louis's bag of money and freaked out because she thought it was "unidentified money" and Louis had said bad things happen to loved ones if it isn't spent quickly. She bought tickets for a vacation with his life's savings. But the problem was that they would be on the plane the whole time! LMAO. So he chases after her wanting to kill her. Hahaha.

    Most Hysterical Scene

Omg, Johnny tries to shave off Helen's "mo san" patch of hair so that he can have good luck again. She sees him with blood in his hands and thinks he wants to kill her. "You want to kill me?!" She grabs a bottle and smashes his head. HAHAHAHA. It's funny that they curse each other's lives.

    Highlight Spoof

Someone on the cast & crew must love "Blade Heart" because that series surely wasn't a hit. Hahahahha. This reference the second time to the series was more subtle because they changed the word on Johnny's face to "lose." I wonder if he was wearing the same mask that Raymond and Adam wore in "Blade" Hahaha. It was funny when he flicked it off by accident and got punched.

    Highlight Comedy #2

Johnny & Helen are a hysterical pair. I love watching them together. It was totally funny when she grabs his ear after hearing that he had hired a hitman to kill her. She was disgusted that her life was only worth $3000 to murder. Hahaha. It was funny when she moved in with the Kams because she was afraid her husband might kill her again. Then she was sucking on her chopsticks and made everyone lose their appetites. Hahha. It was great when Johnny was trying to woo Helen back. She looks at the vase of paper stars that Johnny hurt his 10 fingers to make and scolds it as ridiculous because it's useless. "Give me paper and I can at least sneeze on it and use it for other things. What am I to do with this? It's totally a waste!" Hahahaha. It's obvious that what Helen wants most is money! Hahaha. It was comical when Johnny lip-synced to Helen.

    Highlight Comedy #3

I love how the Kams always work together to drive away people from their house. Hahahaha. It was funny when Johnny was touched that everyone supported him so much that they lit candles and sung for him. LOL. Actually they lit candles because the electricity was cut. Hahahahahaha.

    Highlight Comedy #4

The appearance of Helen's dad is great. I hope we learn more about her past. It was interesting to discover how Johnny came to marry Helen. I loved the scene where the Kams had to pretend to be workers for Helen and Johnny. Mannor and Yeung (Bondy's parents) come in and think that Helen's dad has them on a stick-up and calls the cops to arrest him. HAHAHAHAHA.

    Final Thoughts
These episodes were funny and very enjoyable, making them good and much improved from last week's rather bland tapes I got a good laugh and I can't wait to see next week's tapes. It's a bit disappointing that most people are prejudiced against the elder characters. I love Helen & Johnny and find their stories to be a riot. There's another award to want to give Helen & Johnny, but that'll have to wait until next week when everyone sees the touching conclusion to their story!

I wish.. haha it's actually only close to 800. It would be great if the show was extended another 200 eps and didn't end til winter 2005 and reach 1000 eps. But too bad

Hi guys, I am back! Seemed like I didn't miss a lot of good stuffs. Will have to watch on how Johnny got Helen to marry someone like him. Although I did not see a flow with Helen's character. She used to be wealthy & educated yet she behaved like someone who did not have money all her life.

Metal, will you please post a picture of Kingdom's makeover as I didn't see her appearance yet! Thank you!

Weekly "Virtues of Harmony II" Tape Awards
    "Part V" Tapes 21-22E (Episodes 217-220 ... 325-330)

    Best Storyline

I thought the Joyce/Linda storyline was very good! It's pretty funny how Joyce was prejudiced against Linda at first because her family is always complaining about her. It was sweet when they became best friends and of course it was sad when their relationship started having tension. Linda and Joyce have amazing chemistry. They are so cute! Kudos to the great acting of Joyce and Linda for bringing out the most interesting aspect in this week's tapes. Their sister relationship was touching.

    Highlight Comedy

Helen and her father are hilarious together. Her "rich daughter" attire is so funny. I loved it when he said, "You should watch quality-programming with intelligence like "ER." Stop watching that ridiculous and uneducational show "Virtues of Harmony" that airs on TVB." Hahahahahaha. That was funny. Finally after many episodes of the writers praising their own show so much, they finally poke fun at their show again. It was great. I was really disappointed that Helen's rich family was not gone into more detail. I'm actually quite interested to see how she was when she was younger and if she has any sisters/brothers because she seems to be the elder daughter. Too bad this storyline was so short. I really hope VOH writers will go back and tell us more about Helen and her family later.

    Saddest Scene

When Johnny lost Helen was heartbreaking. You could see the pain in Johnny's eyes. Really great acting and you can clearly see his tears. It was sad when Helen found out that her father only wanted her to come back because of a bet he made with his friend. It seems to me her relationship with her father and family isn't really good. They want her to be this "rich girl" with class but Helen's personality just doesn't allow it. Hahaha.

    Best Couple Chemistry

From ancient to modern, Johnny and Helen have incredible chemistry. I can seriously imagine it if they were really a couple. It's so natural and hilarious when they're together. They match perfectly and the conclusion to their storyline was so touching. "If I don't gamble, I'm not Sek Dai Chuen and if you don't argue, you're not Chan Kiu. Together we will always be Mr. and Mrs. Sek Dai Chuen." I could never imagine them being apart.

    Most Hilarious Scenes

I'm lazy so I combined all of the really funny scenes in this week's tapes into one award. Hahaha. It was so funny how Louis, Michael, and Bondy act like kids. They heard work is cancelled and started partying. Hahahaha. It's funny that they're tired and lazy and want to sleep when it comes to work but when they hear they have the day off, they go and plan a hectic day. LOL. Gee, when is Louis going to learn never mess with Linda?! Hahahaha. It's funny they try day after day to torment her and always fail. I also thought it was comical when Louis treated everyone to dinner and they thought he was up to something and made him leave his wallet behind. They are really superstitious as well! Hahaha.

    Cutest Comedy Scene

This scene is unbelievably cute. Linda made cakes for everyone and it looked really delicious and inviting. But when they ate it, everyone's teeth broke! HAHAHAHAHA. Linda looked so embarrassed and ADORABLE. Definitely a really really cute scene.

    Pity Factor

Honestly, I can't help but feel sorry for Joyce during these episodes. After Cutie left, she had no one she could converse with. Yvonne was always busy with Louis, Bondy is suspicious of her and isn't exactly someone she can trust her secrets with. It was funny when Joyce was about to confess to Bondy that she thought she had breast cancer. Bondy looked at her like "What do you want?" Hahahahaha. Anyways, I pitied Joyce in these episodes. She was shunned and dissed and no one supported her besides Johnny. She looked so disappointed and depressed in a lot of scenes that I felt really bad. *sigh* In lighter terms, Joyce looked quite pretty in many scenes in this week and her acting was really wonderful. I'm also glad Joyce now has Linda to be her best friend. She needs someone she can talk to and do things with.

    Most Improved Actress

Linda is so freaking PRETTY and CUTE. Hahaha her character is really great and so funny and interesting to watch. Her acting is improving as the series progresses and I'm loving her more and more with each episode. TVB spoils her! Haha always praising her beauty and talent. But she deserves it. Linda is great and I look forward to seeing more of her.

    Final Thoughts
EXCELLENT, just superb tapes this week! Seriously, I enjoyed this week's tapes so much from the start to the very end. VOH II has been somewhat lacking after that HILARIOUSLY classical million dollar ticket storyline between Mannor and Louis 3 weeks ago. This week brought the level in writing and comedy of VOH II way back up. I loved these episodes!

Hawick (Nancy's real son) is currently on a 6-month break from TVB to pursue riches in China (in acting). Therefore he cancelled all of his TVB projects and requested to be out of VOH II. His character is written off and given a happy ending. He ends up with an Island Princess named "Fiona" but we don't see her face, so no clue who plays her. His concluding storyline (final appearance in VOH II) is episodes 339-343 in Cantonese, which is "Part VI" Tapes 3-6 in Viet.

Weekly "Virtues of Harmony II" Tape Awards
    "Part VI" Tapes 1-2 (Episodes 221-224 ... 331-336)

    Most Hilarious Pair

Geez, after they reunited, Johnny and Helen seem to have gotten worse! Hahaha. They are teaming up more than ever now to indulge in their laziness. It was hilarious when they fought over the biggest present from Kingdom and got a big useless egg instead. Hahaha. It was funny when Tony caught them going on a trip to the beach and then they ate a basket of fruits to get sick. Hahaha they're so outrageous and hypocritical. I was a bit mad at them because they framed Tony and I was shocked that they were getting away with everything. Thank goodness in the end they got 15% off of their paycheck. Hahah great payback!

    Highlight Comedy #1

I thought it was hysterical when Tony was freaking out about his job in "Ka Yan" and finally bumped into Lau Dan in the bathroom. Then it turned out Lau Dan is all talk but no action. Hahaha he promised Tony without any real intention of hiring him. LOL. That was funny. When he finally made up a job for Tony, the job was so funny! He was in charge of monitoring the employee's health. Haha I was cracking up when he was pointing out everyone's flaws and later everyone cheated in their second "check up."

    Highlight Comedy #2

Stephanie never learns! Hahaha. Seriously, last time she failed trying to kick Hawick out by framing him for stealing an expensive necklace and now she tries the same old trick on Tony. LOL of course she fails again but it was so funny how she always makes these noises when she does an "evil task." Hahaha.

    Highlight Comedy #3

LOL, everyone was challenging poor Tony to lift up the heavy weight or else they wouldn't listen to him anymore. Abruptly he saw Linda's beautiful and cute face and got the strength to lift it over his head. Hahaha. Hilarious! "Love conquerers all" is so true in this case because you never want to look bad to the one you love. Tony is really dedicated with his crush to Linda.

    Highlight Comedy #4

Lau Dan decides to take matters into his own hands and teams up with Stephanie to make Linda fire Tony. I was cracking up when Tony tried to appear manly, bad, and domineering in front of Linda. Of course the part when they rode on the bicycle was also funny. It was great seeing how everything that happened was the opposite of what Stephanie and Lau Dan imagined. Hehe.

    Cutest Comedy Scene

Lau Dan confronts Linda and tells her that she can fire Tony if she likes. "Has he abused you physically or emotionally? If so, you can press charges!" Linda says, "No, but you have touched me 5 times today. Do you want me to file charges?" Hahahahaha. Linda is so freaking cute and funny.

    Highlight Comedy #5

It was hysterical when Lau Dan was about to die because Bondy, Michael, Louis, and Johnny were so stupid and couldn't figure out what he wanted them to do. I loved the "meanings" they deciphered from the clues. It was so funny. The most hilarious would have to be the one Louis made up. It was something like "Terrorists are going to attack at the places with the "X" with bombs made of dried food and they will wear masks with Tony's face on it." HAHAHA. They only got the meaning after Lau Dan sent them a message with words. LOL. He should have done that from the start. Although Bondy, Michael, Johnny, and Louis are good at making lots of plans, they sure aren't very bright with reading between the lines. Haha.

    Highlight Comedy #6

Nancy is so funny when she went to save Tony from the "evil tactics" of Bondy, Michael, Louis, and Johnny. I also cracked up when she went to knit back the sweater and pulled out her knitting kit attached to her jacket! LMAO. She is really prepared. Hahaha.

I simply love it when the cast dwells on social issues. The part about couples knowing each other's personal information was freaking hilarious. I also liked how they talked about telling the truth about one's personal information. Very very funny. I also cracked up when the men's "deals" were exposed by Lun.

    Highlight Comedy #8

It was so funny when Lun went for a makeover to look young because people called him old. Hahahha.

    Most Touching & Sweetest Scene

This has got to be the most touching scene in recent weeks. It was simply the prefect moment for Johnny to come rescue the "damsel in distress" and propose to Joyce. Honestly I was starting to forget they were a couple because they haven't had a storyline in a long time. Haha but anyways, this scene was oozing with sweetness. Joyce was being teased and hurt badly. Johnny came to her when she's bleeding and about to cry and says "Marry me, I will protect you. Please be my wife." She agrees and they run off, with everyone in the background looking shocked. Haha.

    Overall Thoughts
Very funny episodes with a great touch of drama towards the end. This week was great. Obviously I enjoyed it immensely. I was a bit surprised that Tony got his own subplot. I also think it's funny when they always mention that they suspect Tony might be Nancy's real son and not Hawick. Hahahaha. It's funny that they always try to kick out the "new person" in the company.

Next week looks to be very promising... I can't wait.

VOH is already up to a part 6? Whoa...U know what? VOH is like the American equvilent of a tv series with different seasons. Now it's up to season 6. Dang....I wonder when it will end? How can the writers keep writing on and on like that? It's just amazing.

I just love how you Captivate My Mind
