Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Mei played by Karen Tong in DIF III who killed both her rich adopted father and her used-to-be-rich biological father, because her adopted father raped her and when she ran to her biological father for protection, he gave her up to the adopted father for 1 million dollars.

She spent months as the adopted father's mistress, and finally killed him and her jerk of a father for revenge and the insurance policy. And her adopted sister and brother hate her as well because they were form the different mother and they were afraid she would get all the inheritance. Then her lover, Joey Leung, helped bring her into the police station and she poisoned herseslf to death because she had nothing more to live for.

And also from DIF III, the doctor played by Patrick Tam who was in love with Kenix, a Jessy look-alike who lived in Beijing, and accidently contaminated some workers' food, which her boss kept a secret from the police after raping her and forcing her to hand over her passport and a signed confession, to keep her as his mistress. And he was abusive as well.

Well, Patrick was Jessie's (Hong Kong Kenix) psychologist and decided to replace her with Beijing Kenix (called Ling Shan Hua) and steal her passport so the two lovers can leave Beijing.

But the bad thing was that Beijing Kenix's boss followed his mistress and found the unconscious Jessie instead, mistaking her to be his mistress, tried to rape her. Jessie in defence, stabbed him, then was knocked out.

Meanwhile, the two lovebirds came back and three fought, and ended up with the bastrad nearly killing patrick, and Beijing Kenix stab the guy to save Patrick. The two made it as if Jessie killed the guy, and her look-a-like return to Michael's side to pretend to be the real Jessie.

And to avoid suspicions about her real identity, Patrick ended up killing his good college friend, and running over Kenix's sister (Maggie Chan).

The two ended up charged in China and were shot together, after getting forgiveness from Jessy, and confirming their love for ecah other because Patrick got away while his GF was cuaght, but he came back anyway and tried to pin the murder charge on himself.

I thought that both of the murderers were very pitiful because they were forced to such extremes to save Beijing Kenix. Even though they were cruel to do that to Jessie, and all the people they hurt in the way, I just couldn't hate them.

Unfortunately, he found out that he was not the real son and fearful that his real identity would be discovered, he embarked on a series of wrongful acts that eventually brought about his own destruction.

This also starred Lau Kam Ling (as Ling's love interest Fan Ni) and Esther Kwan.
I remember this serial. It's a ATV serial. I saw this serial many years ago, so, my memory of it is very blur. But as far as I can remember, that guy went too far in his massacre. So, I don't pity him. I kind of understand his fear, seeing how his father treated his little brother (who is a product of his mother's affair). But he still went too far. He might have lost his wealth and position, but like Kelvin (Nick Cheung) of SOD, he still has people who love him. Instead of cherishing what he still has, he went and do all those evil things for power.

One question, do u still remember what is his little brother's name? The character's name, not the actor's.

BTW, I don't pity Kelvin from Secret of the Heart either.

I pitied him at first when his whole adopted family (except Melissa (Jo)) boycotted him when they found out they were not blood-related, and instead walked all over him. I pity the shock he has in the contrats between his staus and his birth status. I also pitied him when he was in the States and he was betrayed by his friend who took all his money.

But when he starts dumping Ada for Jessica because she couldn't help him more, kidnaped his brother, killed Dai Chi Wai for going out with Ada, killed Jessica, tried to blackmail Felix about Kathy + son, broke up his true family by telling his mother that Felix was cheating on Amy with Kathy, pushed Gallen into the ocean and laid the blame on Felix to get his out of the company and into jail, tried to kill Amy, tried to kill both Felix + Gallen, killed Ada, tried to kill Sunny, etc... just took away any pity i had for him initially.

Eric Wan has always been an ATV actor, so as long as a serial has him, it's an ATV production.

Well, I think I sympathised with him because he looked good as Ling Feiyang Also, I was quite into the Wan-Lau pairing, thought they were pretty compatible.

Ling Tiansheng, if I'm not mistaken. Cannot remember the actor, though I think he had some resemblance to Lee Kar Shing.

He is kinda cute. I used to be a fan of his way back then . His name is Law Chung Wah (not sure of the spelling, just spell according to cantonese pronunciation). I last saw him in the docudrama Orphans of the Land.

Nick Cheung in Secret of the Heart was so awesome. He single handedly stole the show. Man why did this guy ever go to comedy? he was great in dramas like Secret of the Heart. I felt sorry when his whole adopted family just didn't care for him. Can't blame him for changing. haha me and my friend were like on his side. We didn't want him to lose but of course the bad guys always lose. I love watching villains and villains like him are awesome to watch. Gallen Law was also a memorable villain in Cold Blood Warm Heart.

thought to pop this thread up.
just finished rewatching dif4. and i think roger kwok is one pitiful villain there. he treated louis like a brother yet louis 'betrayed' him. sure louis is a cop and it's his duty to capture him, but still.... i really felt for him. esp in the end that after all that he had done for anne, anne still doesn't love him.

I thought Roger Kwok was damn cool as a villain in this movie. I don't think i have ever seen Roger as a bad guy. I really thought he was cool looking in the intro when he had the gun. haha i dunno why i love villains so much.

i wish in DIV4 they had Roger as the main bad guy and extend the story longer... I thought he was cool as bad guy but the story about him was too short and too rush together.

yup, it's a bit rushed. he could have killed more people and i really pitied him when in the end he told louis, 'i really treated you as a brother' but louis answered, 'im a cop, you're a thief (or something like that)' felt so sorry for him

There's a lot of pitiful baddies in A Kindred Spirit such as Zihao (May May's husband) and Siqin (Tianfu's 2nd wife) as far as I can remember. I think Marco Ngai is also a baddie but I missed watching his part. Anyone else from Kindred Spirit?

There's also this Qian Bao'er (acted by Shirley Yeung) in Game of Deceit played by Jessica Hsuan, Nick Cheung, Chin Ka Lok and Kingdom Yuen. She redeemed herself in the end.

I didn't find Zihao pitiful, but Siqin for sure since she had a conscience and controlle dherself to stop the situation from going worse. The former loved money so much that for a few thousand (or was it ten thousnd), he would steal from his own brother, and afterwards exploit his poor girlfriend, mother, and wife until they could be used no more. He showed he still cared about his former GF just before he died, but I didn't find that redeeming.

I'm not sure if she can be considered a villain but anyway, Sheng Nan in LWVB has my vote.

Might be me but Evergreen Mak in Armed Reaction 4. He was a good husband and overall a good guy but his wife cheats on him, and this causes him to turn to the dark side and pretty much learns to be ruthless. I pity on what he became, from the nice guy he was to this crazed maniac *sighs and shakes head*

I pity him too. When it started he didn't seem to be the type who would hurt anyone or get into violence/gang affairs. Like you said he was a good guy. It was his wife that cheated on him that really changed him.
