Wallace has been very particular about the characters he chooses to portray because he wants each one to offer him a challenge or something different. If he does accept a role in DMY, there must be something in the script or character he sees that he believes will add to his experience. Despite your bias or thoughts to the potential roles in DMY, I would believe that as a Huomi, you would support Wallace and trust his judgment should he choose to accept a role in the drama.

Don't think I have the heart to hate him though...

It isn't the character that we don't want him to play in DMY. It's more about why he accepts a no 2 role when he can be a no 1 in any dramas. Xing Ming Shi Ye has already driving Huomis nut! Okie, No 2 role is a minor thing, it's more about why with Hu Ge again? If he really wants to go for the big screen, it's time that he should be careful in accepting dramas. He needs to get some representative work which may take him to the big screen. I am sure DMY will be a big hit, but the impact could be negative. Hope I'm wrong.

The host said leave the last question to Wallace. So Wallace selected by pointing to a girl in the audience. The girl said you still haven't asked me the question yet. Wallace asked her are you married yet? Do you have kid? He finally said she gave the right answers and presented her a poster with his signage.

This is a post from the insider (who shared those photos of Xing Ming Shi Ye I just posted) of Wallace's circle: 最近八卦滿天飞挨!我会给你们一个满意的消息。~~ on Jan 31. Recently there are many rumors and I will give you a satisfied answer.

Apparently the post was made in response to those rumors. Hmmm, wonder what that is about.....

    Again, this is not official...

Just noticed spcnet is no longer accessible in China....

The author, Mu Rong Yan Er, is about to publish her new novel. An interview with Wallace was conducted. Wallace also wrote a prologue for the book. Both his interview and prologue will be given away as a gift along with the book. A busy guy.

Mu Rong Yan Er is the author of Qing Shi Huang Fei.

It was funny that the author was interviewing Wallace instead of Ruby Lin or the male lead (I dont know his name), just to prove my point that Wallace's role in that drama has impressed alot of people.

I heard that the drama was not the same as the book, and whoever the script writer for the drama was doing a very bad job. It started out ok and then it went downhill after episode 6. Instead of revenge for her parents, all she thought of was love. They lost the main plot after the two main leads fell in love with each other.

I only watched Wallace's scenes. The rest just bored me to death. I wish they have the book is translated into English or my language so I can read it.

    Raindrop:
Thanks for the offer but Chinese audio of subtitle is meaningless to me... I too have downloaded Vietnamese subbed and watch it already. I have watched Wallace's scenes twice now.

I am managing the blog wallacestation.wordpress.com with the help of Tobeme of course, if you want to pop in sometimes.

I love photography. I used to taking lots of pics while traveling. The camera I'm using is really so so. It's Nikon D300. I would have bought the D3S already if it isn't too heavy for me. My picture quality would have been much better with a D3S. If I decide to go visiting Wallace more on the sites, I guess I'll get the D3S although my hands would be crippled after each shooting session.

Someone else interviewed Wallace, not the author. Wallace was doing a favor for the author. The author is a very young girl in her early 20s. She happens to be a Huomi as well. She said she has collected a lot of stuff relating to Wallace since she was a teenager.

The story on screen is very different from the book. Even before QSHF was aired, there was a big battle between book fans and QSHF supporters.

Tobembe: can you please check your email.
Oh Dear Spcnet cant be accessed from China? Can you access facebook from China? I just created a Wallace Station Facebook, trying to know facebook too.
Wow the author seems so young, and yet she is so talented. I am glad that she is a huomi, but then I hope it's not going to be a pressure for Wallace to be in DMY, he should decide to be in it or not by his own accord...

Yes, I can access facebook because I use VPN.

DMY is written by someone else, not the same author.

Just realize the scriptwriter of Strange Hero, Deng Li Qi 邓力奇, who posted on his weibo saying Li Ge Xia, we'll start an adventurous journey is not the scriptwriter of DMY. The scriptwriter for DMY is someone else.

Fans, don't kill me, but if you actually do read Da Mo Yao (see http://vip.book.sina.com.cn/book/index_41288.html), you will find Meng Jiu is really a wonderful role for any actor. Even Hu Ge has expressed interest in playing Meng Jiu as he finds it challenging playing a physically crippled man with a beautiful soul - and Jin Yu loved him first. I can actually see Wallace doing this role well.

Don't think you should blindly condemn Meng Jiu before actually reading the book. And Da Mo Yao is written by Tong Hua, an awesome novelist who has earned critical respect in the literary area (even though she started off as an Internet novelist). QSHF's author is total fluff in comparison. No. 2 role in Da Mo Yao or any other Tong Hua adaptation is definitely miles better than No. 2 role in QSHF which wasn't a critically respected novel. Look what a No. 2 role in BBJX did to Kevin Cheng's career.

Anyway, Tangren hasn't confirmed the casting yet. Let's wait and see.

Actually the QSHF book was pretty bad and full of WTF plotholes. Yet it was very popular, haha! It may have been popular, but it doesn't have critical respect.

As for Smiling Proud Wanderer, the book definitely has critical respect - a classic of the wuxia genre. Problem is the producer (Yu Zheng) totally doesn't have critical cred. Hahaha!
