It's not always true though. TR could change the script making MJ no 1 lead by adding more scenes. Looks what happened to XMSY. MTC is the only male lead in the novel but they added an extra DP role to make him a lead....

Yes but XMSY was not produced by Tangren right, why would Tangren want to demote its own stuff Hu Ge? Look at Tangren's dramas lately... They either have LSS or Hu ge as lead lately.

There have been lots of discussions in weibo and forums about the author has discredited HQB and not truthful to history. HQB was a hero who actually existed in ancient history but in DMY he pretended death in war so that he could go away with JY. Anyway, DMY is just a fiction and I guess some people might have over reacted..

what do you mean first drama? you mean first drama ever? if that's what you mean, then no. He is in Tangren's CP1 and young warriors (not counting those drama that is not produced by Tangren)

Eddie Peng scored success on TV dramas first with Chinese Paladin 1 (which brought Hu Ge fame), Wayward Kenting and Honey & Clover. But he scored even bigger success in the movie world as the lead in Jump Ashin, Taiwan's Cannes Film Fest showcase in 2011.

Eddie was also in Young Warriors of the Yang Clan (Shao Nian Yang Jia Jiang), which was produced by Tangren in 2006. IMO Shao Nian Yang Jia Jiang is Tangren's best drama...I actually enjoyed it even more than Bu Bu Jing Xin in many ways, even though it was produced on a far smaller budget.

Actually Hu Ge wanted to play Meng Jiu. But that was before (I think around December). But what you said actually make sense. HG has a share in the company.

If Wallace shows up tomorrow, that means he won't be in XAJH, now that's, uhm, crazy!
I mean I don't mind if he's in DMY as long as he will still play XAJH later. BUT if that means he has to give up Linghu Chong, then that's really.... :P

Eddie's Dramawiki isn't updated. He's most important role and award is the Golden Horse for Jump Ashin, which was a major movie blockbuster and highly critically acclaimed during the Cannes Film Festival. He was also the male lead with Angelababy in Love U U and one of the male leads in LOVE with Vicki Zhao, Shu Qi and Ethan Ruan.

My feel is that Tangren felt the need to get in a big movie star to one up on Yu Zheng after they lost Wallace Huo to SOD.
