I see that the fans are allowed to stand so close and to take pictures and videos. Do the production team allow just anyone to go to filming site and stand in such close proximity? Do they brief you as to what you can and can't do?

Because it's a tourist place and visitors must buy a ticket to enter this place, therefore, the crew couldn't block the people away unless the actual filming took place. Generally before the actual filming the casts must prepare for the scenes, it's during the preparation stage the photos were taken.

I thot they will cordon off the filming location... I remember that signage on the Xiandu thing saying some parts will be inacessible to tourists during the filming period??

But it's very difficult to control the people, particularly many of them came from far places. Besides, the temple area isn't that big, even they blocked a certain area especially for the filming site but accessible is easy.

I am curious really! I mean if it is a street then yes the crowd is hard to control. But it is a temple, shouldn't the team close down the entire place? I see fans walking so close, and so much interaction. I always thought when in location in a building, the entire place is closed off. No wonder dubbing is used. On location voice recording must be impossible.

I guess sometimes the filming crews made a deal with the scenic authorities to film in their areas and in return they can attract more visitors. It would be very expensive to rent the whole place for such a long time. They can only block a small section when the actual filming takes place but not the whole area unless they are filming indoor in a compound. There are many tour groups going in/out the whole day. Don't you see Elephant Hill and Hengdian like to post about who and who will film in their areas way in advance. These are their tour attractions.

Yes, dubbing is necessary. For example, in Xiandu from time to time you'll hear fireworks. This place loves fireworks. Whenever there is a store (even a tiny one) opened or something to celebrate, people lit fireworks. I mean big fireworks; those go up to the air that make very loud noise!

It's very hard for the artistes to act under harsh circumstances. A challenge for the directors as well. After I have learnt about their conditions I think I'll appreciate their hard work more when I watch dramas.

I think he's still gorgeous (at least compared to some pics where his tiredness is really obvious). About the pouch, hmmm, maybe that's where he puts his wine or its like the long sleeves with endless capacity in some other wuxia.
