But in the latest statistics the selling prices are significantly lower for TV series in the current years. The show biz was blooming during 2009-2011 and prices were sky high. But starting the end of 2011 the good time has been over.
I forgot the exact statistic (guess I posted it in Swordsman thread before) but in the last two months an investor jumped from a building because of suffering great financial losses. He spent his fortune on two dramas which have never been aired in China. There are more dramas than the total airing prime times in China. Cheng Da (if I remember correctly who invested in this series) is a new company. Over the past months they have kept saying the series is popular whenever they are showing it in various events. Lately they said the series will be aired toward the end of the year. They have cut it down to 28 epics and a case is solved in every two epics.
This series is probably the least I want to watch because they have changed the Ming Tian Chu's role significantly. I still don't get it why they made MTC a no 2 male when he is the only lead in the book. Basically they tricked Wallace into signing the contract with them. After this series I don't think I will follow CD's projects anymore. They have quite a bad reputation in China.
