What have you two talked behind Wallace's back without my presence!

Yes, he doesn't appear to be an exciting guy to me as well. But ironically all the female cast who have been in a show with him pay high respects to him (or love to do another show again). I was in Xiandu and the chemistry of him and Yang Rong outside the scene was good. Yang Rong talked to him a lot. She even went near him and stood up when she talked to him.

Wallace is a really considerate kind of guy. We know he smokes. At the set he tried to avoid other people who don't smoke when he was smoking. This is what I saw at the set. He was smoking while sitting on a chair. Yang Rong went and sat next to him. So what happened was Wallace bent down almost hitting the floor and finished his cigarette quickly. This way the smoke wouldn't go up and hit YR. This is something we can't see from photos and clips. I'm glad to be there to see all these. No wonder people who have worked with him all said nice things about him.

Most of the times we saw him were when he's at the set. Without filming he is quiet and zero commercials. He did look serious when he is at the set, mainly because he's under a lot of pressure. I guess this is the reason why we think he is a serious guy. I wish I can see him outside of work. Maybe when he is more relax he will show a true self.

I know he is under extreme pressure on Swordsman. When I was in Xiandu one of the crew members told us Wallace would turn up around 1pm after lunch for his turn of filming. But surprisingly he turned up around 10am and had lunchbox with everyone. He went to the set early to observe how other people were acting. He took a chair and set under the sun so as to get close to the filming site. I didn't know it was him because he was dressed in those Huashan sect outfits and blended in with dozen of Huashan disciples (who were relaxed under the shade). I thought who was so stupid sitting under the sun all alone but it turned out to be him!

I guess it's difficult to quit smoking especially in the show biz. For one thing to release distress and for other thing there are lots of waiting times. It's actually quite bored and not as glamours as we think it is during filming....

Thats why a lot of them are avid weibo-ers. I guess that is to kill time too. But since Wallace is not into it thats why he smokes? Someone should tell him weiboing is healthier than smoking hee..

One thing though; China men smoke. They smoke a lot. From ordinary dudes to everyone. Maybe he was influenced since everyone around him smokes? I would say more like to relief pressure.

Haha so many speculations as to why Wallace smokes. I think I remember reading an interview done back in 2006 in which Wallace stated himself that it was for his own enjoyment
