There are some insider people saying Wallace's next project is a movie. Anyway, the guy needs a long rest at the moment. We shall find out when his next project is revealed.

I think he has kept in touch with Wallace since Rouge Snow, their first series.

The investor for Swordsman also invested in Emerald on the Roof and Romance of Red Dust, in which Wallace is male lead.

I thought he would make a fine Meng Jiu which seems to have written with him in mind. Meng Jue .. isn't he like a bad person sort of? Maybe Wallace might like to pay a sort of villain? This may be 2nd lead but as usual, the female is the 1st lead, the rest to me are supporting. As for turning it into wuxia series, oh please... no no no...Han is the historical background that drives the story. To change it to wuxia (and Wallace as some taoist priest, again?!) is like rubbishing the whole thing. Maybe YZ is used to that but I am not.

For movies I hope a movie that is distributed widely., Why act in movies no cinema will show?

From what I've heard, Meng Jiu is a Liu Lian Cheng-type of character, and that character as Ruby Lin said belonged to Wallace. She thought that he was the only one that could pull the role off. I guess that was why he never took the role when Tangren offered it to him.

Meng Jiu in DMY is different to his adopted son Meng Jue in Yun Zhong Ge. Meng Jue at first was in love with the female lead, but he broke up with her and chased his own dreams or something, the girl after a year she got over Meng Jue she fell in love with the Han emperor Liu Lufing.

And Meng Jiu in DMD is not really Liu Lian Cheng type either. Meng Jiu loved the girl but because he was handicapped and with this inferior complex that he rejected her at first. When she has a change of heart, he decided to accepted her, by then it was too late. And later on he helped both Huo and the girl so they can be together, and he disappeared from the world.

However much I love Liu Lian Cheng, that guy doesn't know how to love. Meng Jiu is more refined, he understands love and the way the book describes him like he is the most beautiful fragile person in the world and I immediately see Wallace. A pity Wallace refuses the role but I understand his choice. From the little I know of Meng Jue, he sounds like a villain at first who has suffered a lot. For all who likes to see Wallace suffering, maybe it is time to campaign for him to take on this role. But I would have wished Tangren to do it rather than YZ. At least the costumes will be nice.

Same here...but definitely not a wuxia again in the near future as it's too much of a hard work...
