I haven't watch Aegean Sea yet. It's not on my shows to watch list. ^^ because it's a korean collab and there's *shudders* peter ho. At least get someone who can act. But most likely I'll watch it after I go home. hehe

Hehe, I think Di Long looks better here though. Which is why, I can't recognise him! so I asked you whether it is the hzgg3 emperor. of course Zhang Tie Lin will be the best emperor. (I'm rewatching part of hzgg 2 now as i'm typing this )

6th bro is mre of the goody goody, everything perfect kinda guy, like ZWJ, while the 4th bro is sorta of a rebel, who fell in love with the enemy's daughter and fighting for his love... rebelling.

Alec and Chae Rim looks really good in there, can't hardly wait to watch it in January ! Hopefully this series is better than their last series......don't really like "Aegean Sea" that much.....find it too draggy !

This drama is pretty average. Alec's acting skills have never been outstanding and he's not too fab in here either. All the other brothers don't get enough screentime to display their potencial acting skills(if they had any). As for the actresses, chaerim is a good actress but she does not fair well in this role. Her character seems really fake and her acting is pretty akaward too(but she looks pretty). The other female lead is Hu Jing, she plays this Liao princess who has a adversarial relationship with Si Lang(alec) at first but falls in love with him later on when he saves her. Hu Jing's actually got a pretty cool role. although she doesn't have too much screen time, at least her character isn't all submissive and weak looking like Yu Yan(chae rim).
Both alec and chaerim have plenty of other suitors but they only have eyes for eachother and declare their undying love for eachother at least twice every episode.
I've only seen up to ep.14, wang yan hasn't appeared yet but I hope she gets a good storyline. All the other female characters(with the exception of Hu Jing and Alec's mother) needs to saved by the men in their lives, they don't really show any independance and are rarely in charge.
The overall story up till now is just pretty cliche, its the typical romeo-juliet story between alec and chaerim and all the other characters don't have enough screentime yet.

divinefish, i agree with you about the series. and i'm pretty objective right now tho i was once a die hard alec fan.

altho i think the other ppl have a lot of screentime too, at least more than i expected. alec and chaerim does not have the chemistry together and it's just disgusting and tiring to hear them say how much they love each other every two scenes. alec's acting skills? well, it's just like qdaqh in my opinion. and he's constantly mad and annoyed at his father, so i see the same expressions over again (can;t believe i'm not praising him huh?) but he is a better actor than most of the rest of the ppl. chae rim doesnt' fit this role, her looks isn't suitable for ancient, and neihter is her acting skills. the plot is pretty cliche, in the sense that i don't get any intriguing feelings when iwatch it, it's like, if i have time, i'l lsee the next episode, if not, who cares. it doesn't have any cliffhangers, or really good plot to make you wanna keep going no matter what. this series so far is pretty average, 6/10

Apart from Alec Su, the others are not "that" famous. Actually, all 7 children of the Yang should play by all famous actors like what TVB did back then in late 80s.
