cool ratings....i thought that it didn't have really good ratings in korea....
They are some die hard fans of the drama. Cool rating doesn't mean high rating. Sorry to confuse you.Originally Posted by crazylazy_chief

oh.....hehe....i am watching ep 11 right now....and i gotta say that kim tae hee is soooooooooo beautiful....the outfits that she wear,so elegant.....but i feel sorry for her though because she couldn't be with the one that she loves.....![]()
It's a ok series...I'm a die-hard junjin fan...and I was rooting for him. but then the series itself of kind of boring...the stupidest part is that they all die at the end instead JHJ
^well, i guess u would be pretty disappointed if ur a junjin fan since he didn't get that much screentime and lines in gumiho.....but i guess he's pretty lucky since he get to kiss both kim tae hee and han ye seul![]()

I'm not Korean so judging from the opening theme thanks to AlannaKim, the series seems iffy to me. Is this about gorgeous assassins exacting their revenge on evil men?
Actually, no.Originally Posted by Radken
I missed the whole series but thanks to lots of advertising and rumors I do know some basic to this show.
There's a Gumiho tribe among human, who look, talk, and live like human except for one thing; just like vampires they need to consume human liver to stay alive.
The Gumiho tribe remains low profile because the extinction of human means exctinction of their own race. Therefore the Gumiho tribe secretly coexisted with human for many years.
However the secert race was revealed by humans at a sensitive time when human cloning became possible thanks to development of technology. To Gumiho tribe, it has become clear that they no longer need to tolerate with humans thanks to liver-cloning. And so they bare their claws against human race finally...
-That's my lousy translation of Gumiho synopsis.
Gumiho is literally translated in Korean as "Fox with nine tails". The old legend has it that it can change into human - pretty women, especially - and lure the wandering vagabonds. The old fable goes that Gumiho that ate 1,000 human liver could become a real human.
Because I didn't see the drama (too busy with my exam) I'm not sure how much of the old fable is mixed into the actual show. But I do remember few flicks that has lots of fighting between some kind of police force and Gumiho-people.
This is basically a story of star crossed lovers between one police man (Jo Hyun--jae) and a female Gumiho fighter (starring Kim Tae-hee).

I'm somewhat familar with the mythos of the Nine-Tailed Fox but always thought only one existed and had never really postulated about a liver eating angle until now. Can the gumiho on this show change to a different form like the werewolf or is it what you see is what you get? The plot sounds decent enough. Too bad the series I usually watch are not as eccentric. Mostly cover conventional themes like family life and fixing the xerox machine. The story would just be so much more interesting if the main character were friends with a fox demon who eats human livers for a hobby.![]()
I saw this..Junjin..is so yummy in epside 2 of this drama. !!![]()

Yeah, anything Shinhwa is delicious....Originally Posted by lilazinprincess
Anyway, I saw the video thanks to the link provided by Alannakim. I did some checking up. The singer is Seo Jin Young and the song is entitled "Dalmeun Sarang - Trance Pop Ver". Seo Jin Young is also the same singer who sang "Uh Jjuh Myun", the OST for Summer Scent (ending theme, that is).
I seriously know nuts about this "Gumiko", as all the websites I visited were racists; they hid their beautiful webpages under Korean manuscripts.![]()
hahah...yea some of those korean site does that all the time. But you can check Tvseriesensation( used to be known as Tvseriesfans), go to the Korean Series/Drama section. I think there should be a thread on that.

Just finished this very good serie, well sort of. The first 5 episodes were subbed so I could understand everything but the rest were Chinese subbed so could only understand a little bit. But finally a serie not only about love, love and love. I have watched quite a lot of Korean dramas and this one is one of the best I've seen. It actually has a story beside the usuall relationship stuff. And I like the guy lead of the warriors(junjin) more than the cop(jo jun hyae). I wish there was some kind of happy ending, but from my experience from watching Korean dramas I've already expected a sad ending.
There was one thing I felt it could be done better. Kim Tae Hee should practice her facial expressions more in front of a mirror. She often has this same look, big eyes, tight face.
I like the clothes, especially the music, this mix of modern and traditional sound.
And I like the scenes where the children are practicing martial art to the transition to adults and you could hear the theme playing at the background, almost at the end of episode 3.
I wish they would make more series like this instead of those seruppy love stories.
I luv this serie...one of the best k-drama that I have see..it's not one of those typical k-drama where the actors end up dyin cuz of cancer or gettin hit by the car but it's still a sad ending though..i was hopin to see jo hun jae to end up wit kim tae hee...the music..**droolin** i luv the song too especially the main themesong...it perfectly fit all the scenes whenever the main couples are thinkin about each other...the lyric is really meaningful...if whoever didnt see this serie yet yall should give it a try...
I found the following english translations for the song Dalmeun Sarang (Similar Love)
At the end of an exhausted spirit,
you said I'll be able to dream again
You said I'll be able to smile again
Towards the sad glitter in your eyes,
I gave a small answer,
but I can't hear it.
Within the long time I can live for myself,
I can't let you out from this heart.
Since I can't become you,
too many of our pains are similar,
For us, who are exhausted from loneliness ,
we have to cherish our precious selves now.
Even if a pain greater than death were to come to me,
I can only love you forever.
A fate-like coincidence doesn't await us.
Even if love is a grudge...
Please smile for me now.
When I become stronger for you,
be my tears then.
The fate-like glitter in your eyes that you sent to me in a dream once
I love it still...
