Not siao lah, maybe a bit pai seh that's all... hee* Aiyar, no news abt Shaun lately... Really wonder what he's doing now that Yummy Yummy is like almost over...

I read Alex Fong said he is 6 fee tall. I tell you KEanu Reeves is 6 feet tall and he looks like it. Just miuns 2 to 3 inches off the official profile for all TVB/HK actors. They're not that tall. Do look at some pictures where Kevin is on the left and Shaun is on the right. Minus out the higher/lower ground, Shaun's bad habit of hunching his back, camera angle and I am sure, VERY SURE Shaun is taller. ANd I believe he is 1.78. Someone else is not.

Why can't see Shaun anywhere? In cold storage again? So when he uis going to be thawed to act in a new scene?

Am still around. Just do not have as much free time lately.

There was some minor news about Shaun Chen this week. But it's only a small mention. Seems that Michelle Chia invited Raymond Lam to Zouk to unwind after filming. Zouk is THE disco in Singapore. Shaun, Ben Yeo and his wife went along too. Some Hong Kong paparazzi managed to sneaked in and took some pictures of Raymond dancing with 2 long hair girls. Those 2 girls happen to be Michelle and Ben Yeo's wife. So the paparazzi used those photos to cook up stories to sell their papers. Much ado about nothing really.

    hi wuchang!! welcome back!

hmmmm.. yah, that news was pretty lame....

anyway, related news I just saw on TVBspace News Roundup... (http://tvbspacenews.blogspot.com/)

[The Sun & Oriental Daily 29/01/05]

Whilst filming in Singapore earlier for new series "Yummy Yummy - Food for Life", Raymond Lam was photographed with his arm around a girl as he went clubbing and when he returned to Hong Kong two nights ago with Kevin Cheng, he responded to the incident, saying: "Going to relax is a very normal thing. The Singaporeans are like that, very friendly and warm."

Raymond continues: "That night was the second time I had been to a disco in Singapore and there was a big group of us there, but I have to praise the photographer for just managing to get a picture of me. I don't mind, it is just normal socialising, you wouldn't go to a coffee shop for a drink and relaxation!" When asked if he was worried about affecting his image, he says there will be an effect, but it will be minor.

As for the girls that Raymond was photographed with, one of them was Singaporean artiste Michelle Chia and she indicated that she was just chatting and dancing with Raymond in the club and insisted that she was not usually the type to flirt with men. Kevin also supported Raymond, saying that he did not see him flirting with girls in Singapore.

Raymond also revealed that he wanted to go and visit a gay bar, but he was too frightened in the end. He says: "When I came to Singapore in the past, I have been touched on the bum by a gay man. Then he turned and greeted me and I was so stunned, so the more I thought about it the more frightened I got and decided against it in the end."

    Wuchang, you're alive?!??!?!???!?!!!

Actually it is much ado about everything actually. Got news is better than no news. Of course the paparazzi tried to make it as if Raymond got it on with 2 women irrespective of the fact that one was very married (and her husband was there) and the other was very much no longer single (as her rumoured boyfriend was there). What surprises me is how come Raymond is all alone???

And to me what is more interesting is Shaun is there as well which means well what everybody already knows actually, they're an item (michelle and Shaun I mean). It's good because I see Michelle as someone with connections. Still no news of Shaun's future?

Exciting news though. Holland V is being shown on local telly and oh yes, he is going to win himself some new fan base ALL OVER AGAIN.

Wuchang, I saw your post at my website and I thought I better answer it here and to those who may be interested give it a try...

"I'd heard a very interesting interpretation of the lollipop in Kungfu Hustle from the producer of Ling Lou. He was on a radio talkshow and he gave listeners his views on the significance of that lollipop, why Stephen Chow in the end opened a lollipop store.

I didn't think much of that till I heard his interpretation. And that is one of the reasons why I'm gonna buy the DVD and rewatch Kungfu Hustle again to catch anything I might had missed the first time.

I'll reveal it after you give it some thought. "

I didn't know there was a meaning behind the lollipop. I mean I thought he opened that shop because he loved that girl and he wanted to do something good and ordinary. But after some thought, I would say the lollipop represented a phase in his childhood that was noble and good. After all he he tried to save that girl when bad guys took that lollipop from her, like taking away innocence. When he opened that shop he is trying to regain his childhood and his innocence and the last scene with him meeting that girl and they were both young again, it was as if back to care free days when everything was much simpler and much more innocent.

Am I being too philosophical? Wrong? Ok, how did that producer see it? And any interpretation from Stephen Chow himself??

    Yes yes fortunately.

I think I'll post Molby's ( Ling Lou producer) interpretation over at your site later tonight. It's a bit off topic here.

    Yes yes!! More details please!!!

Wonder when am I gonna get my own star encounter...

Anyway, about that lollipop thing in Kungfu, I also never gave a thought to it until wuchang mentioned it. Thought on the same line as Funn too, but wuchang mentioned that he'll buy the DVD to watch it over and take note of the details, so I guess there's more to it. Will wait for wuchang to reveal the answer It's really interesting to see how Stephen Chow has matured as a director and story teller, though I thought the story of Kungfu wasn't as well-developed as Shaolin Soccer. Rumours have it that Chow will film part 2 of it, hopefully he'll address some loopholes then. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed Kungfu!

I think no more since Ray left for HK which means no more filming at HK? Or just temporary?

Anyone here ever had a star encounter with at least a singaporean artiste during their most casual hour? And dared to ask for autograph?
