there's a small article on this week's I-Weekly on Yummy Yummy, but my scanner isn't working. probably someone can scan it out and translate?

according to the article, kevin cheng's role is a chicken supplier who's trying to keep the family business together. sounds like the good guy.

    other roles:

raymond lam: flirtatious rich man's son
charmain sheh: PR officer working for a TV station
tavia yueng: a timid gal who's trying to raise money for her dad's medical bills.

there's is only a brief mention of singapore's role in this serial.

At least it's not that awful looking black and yellow tiger shirt from the chicken catching scene.

Why did they make him wear that lousy shirt?

One obvious answer. Hierarchy. Good ones go to more famous face, not so good ones go to not so famous face, and some really horrendous ones go to SIngaporean counterparts. OR it could be that it is "choose your own wardrobe day and wear it to chase chickens" and probably Shaun really has such bad taste in fashion, or maybe a more objective person may say, his choice of wardrobe is very revolutionary, look at the bright colours!

usually a HK-TVB serial takes abt 1 year before it gets shown on singapore cable TV, and abt 2 years before it gets shown on free-to-air channels, unless it's such a huge and popular production then it may get to be shown slightly earlier by, say, a few months. therefore, if yummy yummy debuts in HK by end of this year or early next year (which i think is most likely...), u'll probably have to wait till end 2006 or early 2007 before it gets shown on free-to-air TV...

so my advise... go rent the tapes/VCD/DVDs instead (usually the whole set comes out a few months after the debut)! even if u wait until it gets aired on Singapore TV, u'll only be hearing the dubbed version (trust me, the original is always better. dun understand cantonese also nevermind cos can still read subtitles ^^)

hi all! the sales presentation of Yummy Yummy is available for download at Tavia's fansite: http://tav-ya.cjb.net/

    with chinese subtitles.

can't see the singaporean cast inside though... focus is on the 4 HK leads.

In fact, i dun think that they will air so late this time round cos it is a joint collaboration. If Singapore side has a 50 % stake in the production fees, there is no reason why tvb won't let them air as soon as the filming is complete while TVB has the right to air first. The most fair and ideal situation is to release it with HK at the same time. I think the major factor that determine the airing period depends on how magnanimous is mediacorp after the merging to air this show which is not produced by their cast and production team...
It sure sound complicated with so many parties involved but do keep our fingers crossed that it will be aired asap...

Is this the full version or maybe edited in some ways? Wait! Sales presentation will never feature the sidelines! I think the one that will focus on the singaporean counterparts will be the blessing ceremony of Yummy Yummy. Can it be downloaded yet? I blieve K-100 will show some.

Anyway it is true it takes 1 year before it reaches pay TV/cable TV and about 2-3 years before it reaches free to air channels. Because this is joint venture, maybe it might be shown after it is filmed but sometimes TVB themselves do now show the current show immediately after production is over and may wait perhaps months or years, sometimes 2 years sometimes never. Yummy Yummy looks set to be a priority show but I doubt free to air channel in singapore will get to see it. After all TVB means business and rentals are important. So it is either 1 year later or go rent it.

not sure whether it's the full version or edited version but i have a feeling it's filmed specially for the sales presentation so may not be included in the final product. but at least u get to see what the story's roughly about and where it's heading.

Fwah! Is Shaun Chen flirting with Charmaine Sheh?

A little less known fact, Eileen Yeow is a Singaporean. She was once a Miss Singapore Universe. She's also involved in Yummy Yummy.

    Default Shaun on TV

For those who miss seeing Shaun on TV, he appeared in the rerun of Holland V earlier today. It was a really nice surprise.

It does seem like he is flirting

Eileen's very prolific but doesn't seem to be promoted by TVB.

She is not that prolific and I am not surprised she is not promoted much. And hope they don't promote her that much because as it is her acting is horrible. There is another singaporean girl who went to HK to try to make it in movies but failed miserably.I remember she has this really unfriendly look, and she was always in Super Trio Show BUT she could really tahan those foor acupuncture.

Anyway now we have electricity queen and flirting king, pure havoc. Benny, MOVE ASIDE.

Glad to know he is friendly with his more famous co-stars! I wonder do they have any scenes together, any storyline?

Ohhhh just saw it. This is the blessing ceremony! A pity kinda abruptly cut off. One thing I must say (good words) for TVB is they do know their PR job. Look how they place famous with newcomer together, even the standing position indicates how popular one is. I like to see more of such exposure which I guess the next segment will be the rest of the gang.

And I never knew I could love K-100 this much ...

I have seen her in a lot of TVB dramas, although seldom in lead roles. When she first started, her acting was quite exaggerated but I think she's quite alright now.

I don't want to see him in City Beat. So many reports saying he was outwitted, outclassed, outfunny than everybody else. Nope I want to see where he is realllllly good.

But i can never imagine him as goofy. I still can't believe his cantonese is so perfect. I mean no accent, no slang. I speak cantonese ALL MY LIFE but never have I been that good. BUT I speak better mandarin than him!

Eh if got more of these clips do post the links here. Really love to see such promo stuff.

By the way anyone knows how to pronounce his name in cantonese??
