i tried searching for this show. it seems there is no thread.
i have not watched the show though. my friend has just lent me the vcds.
i thought it will be fun to open a thread to discuss about this series, esp it is being shown in singapore now too. but at very late hours. hehe.

i watched the first episode. wow. the "snake" sect is a bit strange - to be a leader (i think only virgin female), must chop off left hand. the fighting is quite good though - no special effects (not like hsds2003). hehe.

actually there's a thread on this sometime ago. anyway, i think this is just an ok series, nothing spectacular. the actors/actresses' performances are kinda weak here

I enjoyed the beginning parts with Kong Wah a lot and thought that TVB had finally produced a worthwhile wuxia series to watch. Unfortunately, the series goes downhill the minute Gordon Lam shows up.

Overall, a so-so series. Don't have high expectations for it.

I thought the Golden Snake Swordsman was pretty cool. But that was before he was crippled and reduced to playing the flute for a living.

The actress playing Qingqing was terrible. Not a very interesting serial.

wow. looks like i must lower my expectations. anyway, after watching episode 1, i can only remember the swordsman ha something something. i do not know who is qing qing, though i know charma (zzr in hsds) is in the series too.

now, i am a bit confused too. i was talking to my friend who lent me the vcds. i told him the box containing the vcds show that it is a 2000 series. but yesday, during the introduction in the vcd, it is stated as 2002. my friend told me it's a 2000 show. so is it 2000 or 2002? hehe.

just finished watching eps 2 and 3. sorry, the swordsman is xia, not ha. and possibly, i think the thuan lady will marry xia swordsman. and then have a daughter who is with chengzhi. is the daughter qingqing (as someone mentioned earlier) and acted by charma? or another love of chengzhi is the younger sister of thuan lady??

a spoiler is that the gong gong has no kung fu.

Wen Yi (played by Melissa Ng) and Xia Xueyi have a daughter, named Wen Qingqing (later Xia Qingqing).

Charmaine Sheh played A-jiu (aka Princess Changping).

Gordon Lam played Yuan Chengzhi.

princess changping = who lost one arm? during the song, it seems that it is chengzhi who is responsible.

Not sure, don't think Chengzhi was responsible for the broken arm.

Wen Yi died, can't remember about Xia Xueyi and Qingqing (in the 2000 series) looks like an ugly duckling.

Xia Xue Yi lost all his martial arts, but ended up killing Emily (the woman madly in love him), and stayed on Mt Wah with his wife's sister who also loved him. He accepted her though.

Actually, it's [big spoiler!] the Emperor who chops off her arm. The palace was being invaded and he decided to kill off all his concubines, and his daughter. I think she tried to dodge but he got her arm instead.
