Apparently, the response for SHK's latest movie, "Hwang Jin Yi", which was released over the past weekend in Korea, hasn't been good. Audiences who watched the show expressed that the movie placed too much emphasis on appearances and neglected the storyline and characterization. Other reasons cited were the success of the TV adaptation and the even higher expectations for the movie which fell flat and disappointed hopeful fans.

In addition, it seems that SHK has been really stressed out recently since she hasn't had proper rest eversince the shooting "Hwang Jin Yi" and has lost quite abit of weight. She was also worrying about the reception of the film and was rumoured to have to take sleeping pills in order to sleep.

In a recent TV interview, she expressed that her entertainment job is hectic and stressful and that she feels really lonely often. She added that if she is able to find a good man who understands her, she'll get married at 30 and retire from showbiz.

(Do i sense SHK getting somewhat tired of the industry??)

I read that Song Hye-Kyo lost weight for her role as Hwang Jin Yi (but she probably lost extra weight from stress too). I kind of feel bad for SHK and all the other actors and actresses who push themselves to or past their limits so that they can make good films and then I can only imagine how awful they feel when their film isn't recieved well.

She does sound like she's getting tired and worn out from the industry. I think she has a lot of stress from filming, photo shoots, interviews, the rumours about her relationships and that stalker she had a while back. I hope she finds someone that makes her happy (ahem...Rain for instance; they seemed really happy when they were filming Full House).

Yep, it was a failure and wasnt well-received at all even in Korea, despite all the previous hype. Apparently many people compared it to the series version and found that the movie was bland and shallow. S'pore critics gave it abt 1.5-2 stars

U can XX! Afterall, I havent watched it yet and all those feedbacks are based on what I've read. Of course, there's also positive feedback on the movie though im not sure about th credibility given that most of the positive comments were given by SHK's fans

i really like Song hye gyo ...
i know that in this industry there tends to be alot of stress but i think they make so much money. I mean even for a lil commercial that Yoon Eun hye goes she gets like thousands and millions more if so . That's only in figure of american money. SHG should just focusing on making alot of money now and retire early. LIke Beyoncee, she planned out that if she worked hard her early years, she'll have alot of money to retire by the time she's 30 and live a lavish life. I think they have better than the rest of the population. Every job has its bad and its good. Nothing will go smoothly as always.

With her movie it's sort of bad timing. They should make the movie before the series. People already saw the series. the shorter version of it wouldnt be that interesting.

I can't recall the exact date of her birth but i remember it's the earlier one. So it should be the 1981 year as opposed to the 1982 year.
