is hwang ji ni a series or a movie? because my sister was watchng a series with the same titile n she said that she is already in chapter 15 but SHG has not yet appeared n that HA JI WON is the lead...is she talikng about the same Hwang jini with SHG or thats a different one? many thanks

SHG definitely looks hotter than the actress for the series version. Her sideway glance is gorgeous in the 2nd movie poster!! I hope she did well for the movie because it might possibly shoot her to stardom in the movie industry and with audiences outside Asia

I loved the series version with Ha Ji Won. The difference between HJW and SHG's portrayal of Hwang Jini is that HJW was very feisty, tough, and even cunning at time, whereas SHG is soft, demure, and gentle, at least, this is what I gathered from viewing the movie trailer. When is the release date for the movie?

hmmm...i'm not attracted to this poster. my attention tend to get fixated on the hollow spot between her neck and arm, which looks weird. she has lost a lot of weight for this movie.

yep! SHG is way way prettier than HJW...but i think HJW performs quite well too...she did good in bali story n some movies i saw her in

“I don’t consider a man’s appearance to be important anymore.”
Song Hye-Kyo, who will turn 26 years old this year, is currently single and not dating anyone. When asked about her ideal man, she revealed, “Someone who is sentimental like a father.”

When she was younger, she admitted that “Personality was important, and I also did look at outward appearances.” But now that she’s past the mid-point of her 20s, her thoughts have changed a lot. As her popularity increased and so did her stress levels, and whenever she felt the pressure of being the head of a household, she has begun to crave having someone near to lean on.

“It would be nice if it could be a guy who I could comfortably lean on whenever things got difficult. Someone who would listen and comfort me when I’m under stress. Someone who is sentimental and open-minded, like a father.”

Nowadays, rather than spending time with her peers, SHK spends more time with her elders, like Choi Ji-Woo and Lee Mi-Yun. “They really treat me like family and whenever things get difficult, they are always there with a hug, and they also give me a lot of professional advice.” Whether it’s from their influence, SHK added that “I want to hurry up and turn 30 so I can establish my look as an actress.”

Then when does she want to get married? SHK shyly replied, “The way I look at it now, either when I’m 31 or 32 seems to be the best time.” But then she added, laughing, “But that would only be possible if a nice person showed up at that time, right?”

Ms. Song Hye-kyo is very busy with promotion of her second movie “Hwang Jin Yi� these days.
She is holding interview after interview. Stories and promotional ads are appearing
virtually on every newspaper and magazine. Even subway tabloids are decorated with
stories and ads on Hwang Jin Yi, due to be premiered on June 6, Seoul, Korea.

SHK recently held a rather frank interview with a local media organization.
She suggests that Hwang Jin Yi might become a big turnaround in her acting career.
She says she had done all she can to make a good movie. She confesses she
had suffered lots of stress during the shooting of Hwang Jin Yi,
as she has been little satisfied with her acting.
The following is a summary of the interview:

Hye-kyo says she badly wanted to play a somewhat different role because
she was fed up with an angel-like role in cinemas or TV mini-series. She developed
such a feeling following the shooting of “The Girl and Me� of 2005.

She went on to say:
“I thought I might seize a chance to work in great films like Hwang Jin Yi when I am around 30.
But the opportunity came earlier than I expected. To be honest with me,
I initially hesitated to work in the movie. But I mustered courage since there was
no guarantee that I would be able to star in such good films like Hwang Jin Yi.�
Hye-kyo confesses she was worried that she might lose the opportunity to play
the title role of Hwang Jin Yi (since several other actresses were rumored to be
candidates of Hwang Jin Yi).

Unlike Director Chang Yun-hyun, SHK says she heard that Lee Chun-yeon,
CEO of the Hwang Jin Yi production company, was opposed to her appearance in the movie.
“After talking with me, however, he knew that I was dead serious. In the end,
he picked me, saying: ‘Yes. You, Hye-kyo, are the very Hwang Jin Yi
(who I have been searching for.’â€�). After that, she says she has made up her mind to
do all she can to make Hwang Jin Yi a great movie.

Hye-kyo says Director Chang urged her to commit all her energies to acting.
“He asked for me to express myself unlimitedly. I was very much moved.
There is a saying that life is something like an adventure. I also wanted to do
something great. It may be a lie to tell that I did not expect the movie to achieve
a success.�

Hye-kyo says some scenes were shot repeatedly. She reveals that
a scene was shot as many as19 times, although Director Chang was satisfied
with the first round of shooting. “Director Chang enabled me to ‘play’ as much as possible
before the camera. The shooting schedule was adjusted whenever I was exhausted.
He took much care of me, but I think he also took his interest into consideration.�
(She laughs).

“Someone may say that I still have a long way to go as far as acting is concerned.
I never had a sound sleep during the six months of shooting.
I really wanted to show the real part of me to the audience. I do hope that the audience
will learn that I’ve done my best to make a good movie.â€� (In a separate interview,
she says she has suffered a lot of stress as she has been little satisfied with her acting.
She says she is not satified with her acting easily. Hye-kyo says she've lost 5 kg during the
shooting of Hwang Jin Yi.)

Hye-kyo hopes that every fan seeing Hwang Jin Yi would say: “I did not know
Song Hye-kyo had such a quality.� SHK particularly wants to hear fans say, � Hye-kyo has
made great strides in terms of acting.�

Hye-kyo.Her mother rarely appears in the shooting locations. “Indeed, Mom had
never appeared in the shooting locations since I worked on the Sungpung Clinic."
(Hye-kyo appeared in the sitcom probably when she was a high school girl). She says
her mother continued to prod her into fostering the habit of reading books when
she was young. “Now I have lots of fun in reading books,� (thank to her mother).

An episode occurred in North Korea:
It was rather cold when the shooting was under way at Kumgang Mountain in
February this year. A North Korean "guide� told her to “jump and jump� to shake off
the feeling of cold. North Koreans around Hye-kyo were surprised to know that
she plays diverse roles in the dramas or movies. SHK was surprised too
as she watched South Korean TV programs when she stayed at a hotel at
the foot of Kumgang (Diamond) Mountain, a scenie mountain in North Korea.
It is considered the most beautiful mountain on the Korean Peninsula.

She's lost quite a lot of weight compared to when she first came out, doesn't anyone think so? Hope she doesn't lose anymore since I feel she's at perfect weight right now. She looked the best in "All In" in my opinion. But I loved her the most in Full House.
