Long Er tries very much to win Li Shi Min's heart, but so far has failed. Long Er has gone as far as passively colluding to murder Rouxi (GYY) so far.

Of course, to "good side" of Long Er always wins and she has so far remained "good".

Li Shi Min for his part, doesn't have much gut to take control of the situation just, yet.

theres 1 and a half episodes in each disc which lasts for around an hour

Dear all,

Don't you all find Peter wierd here..
He doesn't suite historical roles much.. he sure looks out of place...
Also I find that he lacks the aura for a prince or king...(as Li Shi Ming is one of the good king during tang dynasty..)

It is a good try on his part..
No offence to Peter's fan...
I find him to be alright in modern series... just.. in historical... WIERD!!!

Yea, I agree Peter is a bit out of place since he did acted in Crouching tiger hidden dragon. Also, I forgot that is another character same name as long er. 2 series with long er in it, but a counterpart. I am up to episode 29, I just got the set this week, man this series is excellent it isn't to draggy like I thought it was rather excellent in the storyline. I am very amazed how they put some of the Romance of the three kindgoms ideology in this story by using the characters philosphy as an important historical figures. I didn't know this story will do it, I didn't watch Romance of the 3 kingdoms, but it does make me want to watch the long series alittle bit.

Whatever happened to Ruo Xi's mom? She was there at the beginning, but then somehow disappeared after Yang Guang married Jian Ling.

Li Jiancheng's portrayal is kind of inconsistent. At one point when Li Shimin didn't want to "steal" his brother's soon-to-be wife in Ruo Xi, he said that Jiancheng had always let him have his way and given him what he wanted when they were growing up. Now I'm watching and the empress said that growing up, it's always been very important for Jiancheng to be number one, the best, etc. That doesn't sound like someone who would let his younger brother have his way.
