I'm just about to start Freedom Writers Diary. It seems like a very good book.

"The Road" by Cormac McCarthy ............. it's breathtakingly chilling.

I must say, I hate these two books I had to read. I hope I don't have to look at these two books again. I hope I never do, even for the final exam.

I was actually going to read "The Last of the Mohicans", it's that bad?

This is from a long time ago (okay 2 months back) but I read "Five People You Meet In Heaven" and really liked it (well I have my issues with it, but it was a 'different' book. Anyone want to discuss it?

    2) Starting Moby Dick Ch. 1-24 and then ch. 25-42 by Wednesday. ACK!

Good thing, I've got the book on CD so I can read along and when I'm tired, I'll listen to the cds.

Wahaha, u seem like you really need to finish Moby Dick real fast. Is it cos it's for school? ahha...

    I'm currently reading:

    1) Undead and Unwed by Mary Janice Davidson - about a vampire aha
    2) 2nd book of Harry Potter, can't rmb wat it's called
    3) Summer (Witch Season) by Jeff Mariotte

I really lurve books of fantasy. It need not be the really fantasy ones like sorcerers in the olden time and bla bla. It's just something we won't experience in real life. I mean, anything could happen in the world, just that we are unaware. What I'm unaware of is, there could be vampires lurking out there!

Read it more than 10 years ago, it was one of the reasons, in addition to tiananmen incident that really turn me off the communist party of china.

The cultural revolutions years and also the Mao's great leap forward period is worthy of reading.

S.M. Stirling's "Dies the Fire" ............... another post apocalyptic novel but with more optimism than McCarthy's "The Road". The story is about a mysterious catastrophe that caused all machines to die (even gunpowder won't work anymore) and so the world is plunged into complete chaos and anarchy. The plot follows 3 different groups of survivors and how they adapted to their new world.

Your library has a loan quota? My library allows us to borrow as much as we want including DVDs. However, DVDs are due a week after but it can be renewed, so you can borrow it for two weeks.
