I also just came across this rendition of “Heart of Glass” by Faye Wong. Woah, I have always pictured Deborah Harry’s beautiful doll-like face whenever I hear this song, but now hearing someone else singing it is quite refreshing.

Marc voice is so deep and sensual; such that is the power of a voice when it can make a woman feels sexy.

Are you keen on really fulfilling the mommy role, including embarrassing your daughter IN PUBLIC?!?!? I didn't mean it that way!!!

Tonight's the Grammy's, all you music lovers! I'm listening to my dearest John Mayer, who has an nomination tonight (although not for the song I'm listening to): "Dreaming with a Broken Heart"

I bet bellamia hates the song since she doesn't like any of the songs I like...omg, not agreeing with your teen's music choice. You really are my mommy!

Also listening to a LOT of Nelly Furtado (as you can tell from my avatar). I'm totally straight but she makes motherhood sexy! Go sexy mothers!!!

    Nice Nelly Furtado Songs
    "Try"
"All Good Things (Come to an End)"

Catchy Nelly Furtado Songs I Probably Shouldn't Listen To
    "Promiscuous"
    "Maneater"

Oh yeah this song is mandatory: "Gimme MORE Gimme Gimme MORE"

ahem, then why is Lunie still sporting the avatar? Mommy dearest is going to castrate him. Poor Lun, he still doesn't understand.

OMG, the Grammy is on right now? Who is winning? I can't watch it.

On contrary, your good taste in music comes from me, darling. I do like many of Nelly' songs that you have listed. I prefer her later albums then the ones when she first started.

The Three Degrees never made it nearly as big during the 1970s as the Supremes did during the 1960s, but they were definitely built on the same girl-group model. The Supremes were a Motown act, and Motown dominated popular soul music during the 1960s. By the mid-1970s, the center of soul music had moved out of Detroit and into Philadelphia, and the Three Degrees were part of a softer soul sound called Philly Soul that was popular for a few years during the early and mid-1970s.

Want to see/hear something really cool? The Three Degrees once toured Japan during the 1970s, and sang their biggest hit in Japanese!

They did it damn well too.

I also just came across this rendition of “Heart of Glass” by Faye Wong. Woah, I have always pictured Deborah Harry’s beautiful doll-like face whenever I hear this song, but now hearing someone else singing it is quite refreshing.

I'm impressed whenever Asian acts try their hand at covering classic Western rock. Not as many Asian pop musicians do that now as they did during the 1970s and 1980s. I see that Faye tried Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." Bold move; not everybody has the guts to try performing a song made famous by Freddie Mercury.

Ironically, a large number of old-school rock fans dismiss both of those bands as hacks and wannabes.
