    Lyrics to my (love) life.
i hear that all the time on the classic radio.

It's "free" in the financial sense, but certainly not free of hard work and some luck to earn it.

Most importantly, you run the risk of paying a horrible price in terms of your sense of self-worth if you fail at it.

There is a risk with anything. But we can't stay away from everything. We have to manage the risk intelligently (e.g. assess the cost-benefit, risk-benefit ratios), and learn from our mistakes.

Sometimes, the risks are far greater than initially projected, and the damage sustained...irreparable.

Many are the risk-takers who jumped in headfirst, and never returned.

Good that they don't return, then we at least have one less person around who *****es about things.

I was once told that I should marry someone who loved me more than I loved him. I thought it was wise advice when I was younger. I'm not sure I believe it now though.
    I like me.

Well, it's said to be a selfish choice. But it's one way or the other, don't you think?

Agree to an extend. It just seems selfish to want to receive more for yourself while giving less. The concept of "measuring" the amount of love is ludicrous.

well i certainly agree with you.

actually i question if love is there if one actually 'fussed' about the 'amount' given or received.

the point is really missed if one tries to measure the magnitude of love.

Love is an experience that is uniquely different for everyone. It may last for a brief moment or be lifelong. It may be very deep or barely sink beneath the surface. There is no such entity as "love" that is constantly romanticized in movies, books, and music. Love is not guaranteed for everyone and you should not over exert yourself to create love but best experience when it simply occurs naturally. Love will happen in a chance encounter with someone you click with which could be many and not merely reserve for the mythical predestined soul mate. If there is to be a soul mate it should be that person you have built a long history together and a strong emotional bond. Love is only real when you feel it otherwise it's just a mere illusion.

love is waking up to her, going to sleep with her, completing each other sentences, never running out of things to say, finding your other half, each moment spent together is the best
