Wow, it's crazy what photoshop can do! Yup, in the picture Wallace looks even more beautiful than some actresses out there. Kind of sad for the actresses, though... However, that pic was back when he was 30 or 31 years old, right? Now that he is more mature, his face is leaner, more chiseled, and with more defined cheekbones. The Wallace now probably wouldn't look "beautiful" anymore, but the Wallace then definitely could play a spoofed version of Xiao Long Nu.

Melanie, haha I think Wallace is sexy, hot, and cute no matter what he's wearing. I'm not sure if the casinos sponsor the concerts in full, but I do know they sponsor a large part of it, like the Aska Yang concert I went to two years ago. It would be really nice if Wallace can come over here! He really doesn't need to worry that his tickets don't sell... I mean who doesn't love him? haha... that and I know that the casino and many travel agencies give away concert tickets as part of a package deal. Like for the Aska concert I went to, a large section of the concert hall was reserved for these packages.

Too bad about 菩提樹下 I really wanted to watch it. lol... the posters looked nice. But, I really can't bear to watch it if Wallace has so little screen time. By the few episodes that I have seen, the drama seems pretty ordinary with a sluggish pace.

I will finish 內線 first. It seems interesting, a lot of confusing talk though... hopefully I will understand it better later on!

Yea, I pretty much don't mince my words when it comes to sharing my feelings about a drama and its characters. No one is safe from my sharp tongue, not even Wallace Chung's characters. I did fear my bashing of Peilin had gone too far in the eyes of the other Wallace fans, but JoleCole said she enjoyed my bashing.

By the way, what are your thoughts on Peilin? Do you like him, or do you share my feelings about what a jerk he is in the latter parts of the series?

I adored Peilin in the first 22 episodes because he was so utterly in love with Jing Wan and wasn't afraid to show it. TLTSILY has the best kiss scenes, way better than SWAK because Jing Wan did not look with she was tortured and abused most of the "romantic" scenes of the drama. (I really need to stop comparing Hawick and Wallace.) Honestly, I thought Hawick was riveting as the sociopathic Mo Shao Qian but their relationship was so abusive that some of the scenes sickened me. However, I hated how Peilin decided to agree to marry Jin Zhi and betray Jing Wan. Even if the entire fate of the city rested in his hands, he should have discussed the situation with Jing Wan first instead sending her overseas in the hope that she won't hear about his betrayal. Knowing her personality, Peilin should have known that he couldn't have hide his infidelity for long and once she did find out, what did he do? HE LOCKED HER UP. That really pissed me off because that is honestly the worse thing he could have tried to do with a free spirit like Jing Wan. Stupid, sadistic, controlling Mu Rong Feng! Even though he nearly destroyed the love between them, I'm glad that they got a happy ending in the drama. I think that being forced to live with a woman he did not love and pining for a woman who had left him for 8 years or so was enough of a punishment. Plus, Jing Wan deserves her happy ending because I don't think she would have been truly happy with Yin Zhi. Poor Yin Zhi, he had been unwavering by her side for almost 16 years.

Hahaha! "Train wreck of a story" is exactly how I would describe it, too! It would not have been too bad if the story hadn't dragged on for 53 episodes! A lot could have been trimmed off. And I remember reading all the outraged viewer posts (through the help of Google Translate) about how little screen time Wallace Chung had. After realizing that Wallace was going to have less screen time than Hawick Lau, a lot of people commented on tudou that they were skipping episodes and only watching the Wallace parts.

I wasn't attracted to Hawick at all in 菩提樹下. I mean, he was likable in the beginning, but I wasn't drooling over him like I was over Wallace Chung. But in Sealed With A Kiss, Hawick did quite an impressive job as the alpha male. Still, something was missing for me. I liked his character, maybe because I think aggressive alpha male types are hot in dramas (but not in real life). Nonetheless, something was missing. Perhaps it was Hawick's lack of stature? He was the same height as his leading actress, which sort of lessened the macho-ness feel for me. I think I'm very biased, but I think Wallace Chung, with his more impressive height, would have made a better Mo Shaoqian... Don't misunderstand; I still think Hawick did a marvelous job as Mo Shaoqian but I just wish they found a shorter actress to complement him.

I'm actually the opposite; I disliked Guan Hou Pu (Wallace) and enjoyed Long Wu Sheng's (Hawick) character much more. For me, one of the most important things is loyalty, especially in a male lead. I could tell that Hou Po loved Jing Xin but he also betrayed her so many times by agreeing to marry Lian Sheng and then Pu'er. Wu Sheng, however, stayed steadfastly by her and was even willing to raise another man's child. He never forced her to be with him but patiently waited until she needed him (kind of like 14th in BBJX). His flaw was that he was too weak willed, and when he began indulging in opium and gambling at the behest of Huang Fu Jun Jie, I completely lost any sympathy I had for him.

Hawick's performance as Mo Shao Qian was so brilliant that I didn't notice his short stature. In PTSX, Hawick looks very charming in his western attire but for the first third of the series, I kept noticing that the long Chinese robe does accentuate his slight build.

I think the traditional Chinese robes give Wallace a very scholarly aura, which I like a lot. I also think his good looks and height make him look impressive in martial arts costume, but he would look even better if he had better hairstyles. Nowadays, the martial arts hairstyles are a bit...alternative.

Alternative like Wallace's hairstyle in Ni Shui Han? Seriously, what is with the long, flowing curls? Were they TRYING to make him look like a girl? Wallace's locks are the only thing turning me off from watch that drama...

Genna, isn't Wallace suppose to act in a drama called 别无选择 (No Choice)? I thought it was going to come out before Yi Ji Chu Fa but I haven't seen any news about it since the 30 minute long trailer came out.

I'm really not sure about 别无选择 as a lot of fans on baidu are waiting for it to air, but then there are also some download links going around. lol, but I do know that leTV will have the drama up in April: http://tv.letv.com/shtml/channel/tv/yugao/index.html So, by then it should also be up on other streaming sites such as youku and tudou ^^ I am super excited for this! And 天涯明月刀 might air in July (according to one of the actors on weibo). It seems like fans on Chinese sites are just as curious about what Wallace will be doing next. I can still forgive Peilin for locking up Jingwan. It was a stupid, selfish move, but he probably did that partly out of desperation to keep her by his side and partly because she was pregnant with his child. After her miscarriage, he let her go. So maybe Peilin didn't love Jingwan as much as we thought after all. He cared more about the kid, and once the kid was gone, he let her go. Hate Peilin!

I'm so mad because I couldn't forgive Peilin for sleeping with Jinzhi literally while Jingwan was trying to recover, physically and emotionally, from her miscarriage, which he more or less contributed to. Instead of being by her side supporting her, he had sex with another woman. That was just plain callous. Heartless jerk! Similarly, I couldn't forgive Jingwan for being so weak-willed for forgiving Peilin. Have all the men in the world died that she needed to marry this jerk again? He needed to live a long, long life in regret and loneliness. Anything less would be too kind to him.

I agree that the kisses in TLTSILY were probably the best ones I've seen so far. They were very comfortable rather than forced. They also ranged nicely from passionate to loving and tender to teasing and playful.

I actually liked Guan Hou Pu initially, but something he did mid-series made me wonder about his character; he tried to pay off Long Liansheng (Yang Rui's character) when he thought he had slept with her and had gotten her pregnant. As much as I thought Liansheng was a brat, I thought she didn't deserve that. Also, I agree with you that Hou Pu was rather weak-willed and not very steadfast in his love for Jinxin (Lv Yi's character). He sort just married Pu'er because Jinxin was no longer available so why not marry someone else as a consolation prize, right? Then, of course, even while Pu'er was carrying his baby, he still pined away for Jinxin. Not exactly prince charming...

When I started watching Ni Shui Han, I didn't even know who Wallace Chung was. Hence, I was not that disturbed by his hairstyle since he was "just" another guy in the series. I transiently thought, "What a weird hairstyle for a guy." Then, I shifted my attention to Julian Cheung. But in less than 3-4 episodes, Wallace won me over so completely with his manliness and hot evilness that his hair didn't matter at all. I think this is one of those series that you have to watch to know what I mean. You need to see him in live action to realize how manly he is despite his hairstyle. I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way. I heard that Wallace's popularity suddenly skyrocketed after his role as the villain in Ni Shui Han. Apparently, plenty of others thought he looked hot, hot, hot, even with bad hair! The series, I admit, was a bit artsy-fartsy in the first 2-3 episodes, but after that, it got really exciting.

I am excited to watch 'Drug War' since I also like Louis and my mom is his big fan (for 14 years now), so we're definitely gonna get the dvd. And now that I know Wallace is in it as well, it's going to be great! lol... unfortunately, no one really knows yet what Wallace's character is in 'Drug War'. They haven't revealed much... I hope he has a decent amount of screen time!

Ah I first fell in love with Wallace because of his scruffy look! lol, I didn't really notice him until I watched the movie 'Duel for Love'. I just thought he looked so incredibly attractive there. It's weird, I mean I didn't even like that movie, the story was slow and completely average. haha, and I had watched his other stuff before then, but for some reason that movie turned me into a gushing fangirl. I was like 'omg this guy is HOT and he CAN act!'

But, clean-shaven is nice too! I think Wallace is one of those lucky guys who can pull off both looks.
