This is what is going to happen if she does give the press conference:

1. There will be buckets of tears, she will be crying a lot. The conference will be interrupted now and then for her to calm down. (Good way to get sympathy from fans and media).
2. She will apologise to her fans and the public for the scandal. She will admit having the relationship with Edison. She will say that their relationship is private, and not meant for as public information and discussion. She may(I really hope she does not do this) claim that she did not know the pictures are taken. She will ask her fans and the public to forgive her.
3. She will say that she was very distressed about the incidents of the pictures becoming public and the furor following. She will claim that the world seem to have ended for her and that she contemplated suicide. She will thank her fans, friends and family for the emotional supports that she received at this rather difficult time of her life.
4. She will appeal to her fans and the media not to judge her through these pictures but rather by their knowledge of her over the past.
5. She will ask the media to give her a break, and will say that she will take some time off from singing and acting to recover from this ordeal. She will ask her fans to forgive her and ask for their support at this very difficult time.

Following the Press Conference, there will be a line-up of close friends and celebrities to give her support.

Yes no doubt she will play up the naive victim angle.

In America I think she would still have a career definitely. I don't follow the HK entertainment scene (mostly for its suckitude and corruption), so I dunno what'll happen to her. She didn't really do anything outrageous other than have sex on camera.

I am a supporter of this Kira person. If he/she ever gets caught, I am afraid he/she will get the maximum sentence and probably won't make it out of prison alive, so I hope he/she remains safe.

Gillian Chung (鍾欣桐) will tomorrow make her first public appearance since the sex photos scandal started a fortnight ago. Mani Fok (霍汶希), an executive at Gillian's management company, told the press that Gillian, along with bandmate Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍), will be attending an annual Twins' fans event to mark Chinese New Year.

Mani said that Gillian will read a statement to the press but will not take questions from reporters.

Mani added that the event is usually private, but, because there is a lot of public concern for Gillian, in a break from custom, the media are being informed.

Mani said that after the event, Gillian would go back to work.

Mani refused to comment on the latest sex photos, purported to include ones of Gillian, that surfaced on the internet yesterday.

Meanwhile, a source told Oriental Daily News, a Hong Kong newspaper, that Edison Chen (陳冠希), the only male celebrity implicated by the scandal, who reportedly flew to the US to avoid the media commotion, has become depressed, reclusive and unwilling to eat. The source told Hong Kong's bestselling daily that Edison had been advised by his lawyers not to talk to reporters. The source said that Edison's family and friends are deeply concerned about the star's wellbeing.

Edison released a recorded message last Monday, but has not appeared in public or in the media since.

So yeah, she is only gonna read a statement..go figures. A statement carefully written by EEG lawyers to perfection during the entire time she's been hiding. Hopefully EEG lawyers can do better than Ed-man's lawyers and she can read it less robotically.

Not by Albert personally, but I bet that there will be hired thugs to do the dirty work. Albert won't be so careless to leave a messy trail.

If I were in Ed's shoes, heck I'd be depressed too. I wouldn't worry about my career, I'd pray for my life. Look at Eric Tsang. He made a joke insinuating about Albert/Joey Yung relationship and got whacked on the head by a group of unidentified men. He ended up in the hospital with stitches. That was just a joke. My advice is that Ed better surround himself with heavy security.

I also hope that Kira does not get caught because it would mean a death sentence. The only person/group to succeed where the legal system failed. Kira managed to hurt EEG and Albert financially and personally. Just for that, I'm siding with Kira. However, I would advise Kira to lay low for awhile.

Disclaimer: the below is only a rumour I read from another Chinese forum. I have not verified the claims in any way but I hope it will provide you with some insights as to what some people in HK feel are happening right now.

This scandal is simply a ‘war’ between the mafia bosses behind the HK entertainment industry (Albert Yeung of EEG and Charles Heung of China Star). The cause is probably because Cecilia Cheung, originally a successful employee of China Star, fell in love with her current husband Nicolas Tse, who has an exclusive employment contract with EEG. Obviously this causes conflict of interest and both Nicolas and Cecilia were under pressure to split up (which they did once). But eventually, Cecilia and Nicolas resumed their relationship, got married and have a kid. As a result, Cecilia broke up with her former employer China Star and went to work for her husband’s employer (EEG) instead. This angered China Star’s management because they didn’t get their return on investment.

As a result, the current scandal is the fallout of the last war. Edison was careless and lost those pictures, possibly in 2007. (In fact, there was an article in a HK magazine that described what was happening now back in July 2007.) It was rumoured that either Kira is working for China Star and/or the pictures have been sold to China Star already, and this scandal is a retaliation from China Star against EEG.

Another rumour is that Kira is actually 3 people who got the pictures by accident (they were involved in a HK computer store while repairing Edison’s broken laptop). They were hoping to hold Edison ransom but Edison didn’t give in and reported to police. The police didn’t take this too seriously and simply put the report onto file (if this is true, the HK Police should have a file before 2008). When the first picture surface, Edison knew something wasn’t right and left HK immediately, as he fear he would become the scrap goat of the whole scandal. (Another explanation is that some of the pictures involve child pornography, and taking/possessing them are criminal offenses in HK.)

Kira’s group tried to negotiate with Edison’s boss instead. It was rumoured that one of the three Kira’s got captured and possibly killed by the mafia during initial negotiation. The other two Kira’s left HK immediately and it was rumoured that one of them is in Thailand (the other is possibly in Asia or North America). It was believed that the Kira’s are still negotiating with EEG. But it looks like they haven’t reached the right price yet and so the Kira’s are putting pressure on EEG.

The above are only rumours. As I said earlier, I have not verified any of the above. Please take the above story as what some (but not all) people feel are happening in this scandal.

I’ve heard a different rumour.

However, some parts corresponds with the post above me.

As you already know, the entertainment industry in hk is plagued with gang affiliations and EEG is owned by Albert Yeung who is a known gangster.

In Hong Kong, it is rumored that the stars use sex to gain popularity and stardom by sleeping with the bosses of the entertainment companies. A-list stars such as Joey, Gillian, etc were rumored to engage in such acts. Thus, this is why this news is so big because before this, there were no evidence of such practices even though the public suspected that there was. Additionally, Gillian’s image of an innocent and sweet girl was destroyed.

All that side, the rumor behind these leaked photos was that they have been allegedly circulating the within the entertainment industry since a few years ago but was not leaked to the public. However, recently (according to rumor) the boss of Apple Daily had a feud with Albert Yeung and Albert Yeung, once again using his gang relations, set fire to the apple daily’s boss’ house. The apple daily boss was furious and decided to release these photos to the public to bring havoc to Albert Yeung’s company. Therefore, only EEG stars are involved in the photos.

As for the computer technicians, they may be just scapegoats.

This is all speculation and rumor ofcourse. None of which i have said is verified.
