To wkeej, I slept around 12 midnight after finishing off some paperwork. But that day, I had to wake up at 6am to catch the bus to the CBD. My dad tried to wake me up but said I was like in a coma.

What I am afraid is that after buying the new battery, the whole laptop die suddenly. Maybe I should borrow someone's battery to test out first.

How expensive is the battery? And how old is your laptop?
If the battery is expensive and your laptop is too old then it's better to buy a new ones.

Sending my laptop to the IT Helpdesk tomorrow. Went to two electronics department stores = Best Denki and Challenger. They do not sell laptop batteries. Hopefully the service centre does. Drop them an email and no response yet.

But your job is a noble one. The service center finally responded. They said I gave them the wrong serial number. What I wanted is just a simple answer - do they carry the required type of laptop battery so that I will not waste my trip down. Yet, gave up ... gave them the serial number again.
